Warning: Do not mix batteries of different brands, sizes, capacities or types. Doing so may cause damage to the flashlight or the batteries being used.

* 18650/ 16340 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Using only quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion; but cell damage or short circuiting are potential risks the user assumes.

Battery Replacement Unscrew the light tail and insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the light tail back on.

Battery Level Indication Each time the light is turned on the indicator in the functional side switch will indicate the battery level and will last for 3 seconds.

  • Green light on: saturated 100% - 85%
  • Green light flashes: sufficient 85% - 50%
  • Red light on: poor 50% - 25%
  • Red light flashes: critical 25% - 1%

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L18 series 18650 battery.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used at relatively high modes for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C, it will then allow the user to reselect the modes.

Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output, the battery level indicator blinks red 3 times every 10 minutes to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L18 series 18650 battery.

Usage and Maintenance for the Fenix PD 35 V3.0 Flashlight

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using only a high-quality protected battery.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery for proper storage.
  • Unscrew the tail cap or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the light's performance as dirty contacts may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: Poor battery level.
Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.
B: The contact or contact point of the battery or flashlight is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.

All I need

I purchased this light after a friend recommended it. My primary use is walking the dog. That may sound like any light will do - not so! I live in a very nice spot in So Carolina but there are a wide variety of animals I see daily that could be problematic from snakes to deer. I was using SureFire products but they chew up the battery quickly and honestly are pricey overkill. This light is exactly what I need 99% of the time. Great value!

HOT HOT HOT

Bought this on Amazon in green. 3rd day of owning i used it for 3 ish minutes straight and it got pretty hot so i tested it. started out at 80 degrees. After 4 minutes it was 120. I am not going hold a 120 degree flashlight. Just not happening. Sorry but will not and can not recommend this product or product line.

Hi JR - please note that with these high levels of lumens, the lights will get hot. That being said, the lights do have overheat protection. It will kick down in lumens to cool down the light.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used at relatively high modes for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C, it will then allow the user to reselect the modes.

good light

Bought this to replace an edc competitor light. I've only had this a short time (1-2 weeks) but this light is a good thrower. One thing for anyone looking at purchasing this, the specs are based apparently on a 2600 18650 battery. If you have a 3500, I would expect a 30-40% increase in times.. but have not tested that.

Best built and best operating flashlight I've ever owned

I've now replaced every flashlight we have, including the ones in our cars and my daughters cars. This is the flashlight I now depend on for our emergency earthquake preparedness kits (yes we live in California) and it is the one that sits next to my bedside gun safe. Lots of companies make quality and performance claims but Fenix quietly goes about their business and lets the product speak for itself! I've not found a better flashlight.
