Battery Replacement

Unscrew the light tail and insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the light tail back on.

Charging

  1. First switch off the light and plug the USB A socket of the magnetic charging cable into an electrical outlet, then connect the charging port of the flashlight to the magnetic charging port in the cradle.
  2. The indicator in the neck of the flashlight will display red while charging, and will turn green when fully charged.

Note:

  1. The normal charging time of the included Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 rechargeable Li-ion battery is approximately 3 hours from depletion to full charging when the charging input is 5V/3A and above.
  2. Recharge a stored light every four months to maintain optimum performance of the battery.
  3. The light is unavailable while charging.

Battery Level Indication

Each time the light is turned on, the indicator in the neck of the flashlight will indicate the battery level and will last for 3 seconds.

Green light on: saturated 100% - 85%

Green light flashes: sufficient 85% - 50%

Red light on: poor 50% - 25%

Red light flashes: critical 25% - 1%

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L21 series 21700 rechargeable Li-ion battery.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used on High or Turbo modes for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C, it will then allow the user the reselection of High or Turbo modes.

Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output mode, the battery level indicator constantly blinks red to remind you to timely recharge or replace the battery.

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L21 series 21700 rechargeable Li-ion battery.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using only a high-quality protected battery.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery for proper storage.
  • Unscrew the tail cap or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the light's performance as dirty contacts may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: Poor battery level.
Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.
B: The contact or contact point of the battery or flashlight is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.

Warning

  • Do place this light out of the reach of children!
  • Do NOT shine the light directly into the eyes of anyone!
  • Do NOT shine flammable objects at close range, to avoid burning objects or causing danger due to high temperature!
  • Do NOT use the light in inappropriate ways such as biting in the mouth, to avoid personal injury or life threats when the light or internal battery fails!
  • This light will accumulate a lot of heat while working, resulting in a high temperature of the flashlight shell. Pay attention to safe use to avoid scalding.
  • Turn off and lock the light or remove the battery from the light to prevent accidental activation when the light is placed in a closed and flammable environment such as pockets and backpacks!
  • The LED of this flashlight is not replaceable; so the whole light should be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its life.

Q1. What kind of LED is used in WF26R? Does Fenix offer to replace LED?

A: Fitted with a Luminus SST-70X-W LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.

Fenix does not provide LED replacement services for the time being, and users are not recommended to replace the LEDs independently, which may affect product performance and cause product damage.

Q2. What is the white light color temperature of WF26R?

A: Around 6500K.

Q3. What is the working voltage of WF26R?

A: Working voltage: 3.0V to 4.2V, and the limit working voltage range is 2.8V to 5.5V.

Q4. Is WF26R rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: Yes, WF26R is rechargeable with the magnetic charging cable and with the charging cradle as well.

The normal charging time is approximately 3 hours from depletion to full charging.

Q5. Why is there only a 6-minute difference between the runtime of Turbo and High mode?

A: The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used on 3000-lumen Turbo mode for extended periods. When the temperature reaches a certain level, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature, which results in the accumulated runtime of Turbo not much different from High mode (For specific runtime performance, please refer to the runtime graph in the user manual).

Q6. How to prevent accidental activation of the WF26R?

A: Unscrew the light tail, or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation.

Q7. Why does the WF26R downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: There are two reasons:

2. Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output mode, the battery level indicator constantly blinks red to remind you to timely recharge or replace the battery.

Q8. Why does the battery level indicator blink during usage?

A: It indicates a poor battery level. When the minimum voltage is less than 3.0V (or 2.8 to 3.2V) with the brightness downshifting to 30 lumens, the battery level indicator will remind by blinking red with a frequency of 3Hz, until the battery power runs out.

Q9. What kind of battery can be used in WF26R?

A: It is recommended to use the Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery. The battery is replaceable.

Q10. Can the charging cradle be used with the RC20?

A: No, the RC20 and the WF26R use different charging methods and the cradles are not interchangeable.

Q11.  Does the WF26R include the wall brick/charger for charging?

A: No, while our rechargeable lights include the necessary charging cords, the wall charger for the USB connection is not included with the product, as the majority of customers already own several chargers.  The WF26R requires a 3 amp wall charger.

Q12.  What should I do if the WF26R needs repair?

A: 1. 15-day replacement: Fenix will replace identical or equal products with documented manufacturing defects within 15 days of purchase.

2. 2-year free repair: Fenix will repair a light free of charge within 2 years of purchase if problems develop with normal use.

3. Lifetime maintenance: If repair is required after 2 years from the date of purchase, Fenix will charge for parts. The total repair fee is dictated by the cost of the replaced materials.

4. If you need warranty service, fill out the warranty form at https://www.fenixlighting.com/pages/warranty-repairs to start your repair claim.

Well made and with a cradle

This light performs as all my other Fenix lights do, great.
I bought this light because I wanted something that could light up an area outside with some punch to it. It does that. I also like the controls on the end of the light, very easy to control. These are the same controls as my TK16 has and I have put that through some hard use. So, I expect this will do the same. This light will be mounted in my Tacoma, hence the docking station. One suggestion to Fenix, if y'all read this. The TK16 has the glass breaker tungsten on the bezel. I would really like to see that on this WF26R. I have never had any quality issues with any of my Fenix lights, 9 and counting.

We can pass that along to the manufacturer.

Very Durable

I've bought over a dozen Fenix lights for our shop (our workers love Fenix Lights), just got the WR26R and I'm very excited about it, I've had the Original TK35 For almost 6 years and put it through just about everything and anything, and finally end of 2023 it has started to give issues with killing the battery within an hour(even new batteries) . Super impressed how tough these lights are.

Best advertisement for Streamlight

I bought this light and within 2 weeks it was dead. Initially, I was impressed with the build quality and the truth in marketing for brightness. It was the customer service that really caused me the heartache and the primary reason I decided to send the light back. Now, to be fair, their offices were impacted by a major snow storm, but communication was severely lackluster.

The fact that I paid $140 for this light should mean that the company I purchased it from would be willing to try just a little bit harder to make sure their customers are satisfied. Oh well, I’m sure that other customers have had good experiences with this brand, I suppose I’ll just have to take their word for it though.

Yes, unfortunately our warehouse was on a skeleton staff of 2-3 people for a week due to snow and ice storms. The majority of our employees (i.e., everyone aside from 2 or 3 people depending on the day) were unable to even get to our warehouse, so the few that were there were attempting to handle ALL incoming orders to at least get them packed up so that once shipping carriers were able to start taking the packages things wouldn't be so backed up. As such, unfortunately we really didn't have anyone there to be able to respond to all the emails and phone calls that came in during that time. We apologize for the inconvenience it caused you, but they worked long hours to try to get caught up the following week as soon as they were able to get into the warehouse. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done during this emergency storm situation that would allow our employees to respond to anything any faster than they did. Essentially this storm rendered the entire area to be shut down for a week.

Compact and super bright!

I bought this flash light for work and it exceeds all expectations. It is compact, super bright, and light weight. Working in the aviation field I need a super bright light for hard to reach and see areas like the top rudder of an aircraft. I'm loving my flash light!

Rugged Reliable

Bought some Fenix headlamps a while back, what a game changer those were. But a solid reliable (rechargeable) flashlight remains the tool to carry in your kit. This one feels good in the hand, it has more than enough function for any duty.
