New battery,
I will never have to worry about running out of light. This was a great purchase. Quick Shipment, No problems
This is absolutely the best light I have ever owned
With occasional use over a 7 month period, the original battery would not hold a charge. As it was a Christmas gift I could not chase down a receipt and go back to see if there was an active warranty so I dropped $25 for a new battery as the flashlight is awesome. The jury is still out on the Chinese replacement.
Guys, I would gladly pay much more for a battery but it would need to last years, not months. As an Electrical Engineer I am very tired of buying a product with an initial low cost, only to purchase it 3 or 4 more times because of poor Chinese quality. My work room is full of junk heading to the garbage dump in the USA.
Suggestion: Either improve their QC or find a different supplier. If the second battery craps out, the nice flashlight goes in the junk drawer and I go back to a very nice flashlight that uses Duracell batteries.
Tim
Hi Timothy - for future reference, all that is needed for warranty is the serial number on the light. The Fenix batteries should be able to retain a full charge for 500 charges before they start to lose their ability to keep the charge.
High capacity, integrated charging port and reasonably priced.
