Product Overview

The Fenix TK30 is a white laser flashlight. A Class 1 laser stimulates a fluorescent crystal to create a broad spectrum white light, allowing this flashlight to throw 500 lumens a jaw-dropping distance of 3937 feet (1200m)—that is 3/4 of a mile! The laser light creates a more focused spotlight beam, than a standard LED flashlight, with little spill over light. The tactical tail switch operates on/off and momentary on while the side switch operates the 3 lighting modes. Other features include a battery level indicator and it is IP68 rated dustproof and waterproof. Made for tactical applications where distance is priority, the Fenix TK30 flashlight will not disappoint.

Fenix TK30 Review

This light has a usable beam for several hundred yards. It would work excellently as a weapon light on a carbine. I am very impressed with the quality and concentrated beam.

Nice and bright, yet somehow discreet.

I bought this LEP from Fenix because I've been carrying their PD32v2 for two years now. I can't say enough about the quality and power that cigar-sized light puts out. While the aforementioned light is an extremely powerful and compact thrower, this TK30 is a bit larger than I would typically carry clipped on my pocket. I tote it sometimes anyway for lobbing the power of sun the entire distance of a public park I frequent on evenings for fun. I use the momentary on function very briefly because people may get frightened by this unknown beam. I chose Fenix because I appreciate their build quality while, somehow, maintaining a relatively light weight. That's hard to do in today's "tactical" flashlight market. I do not want my light, a tool, to look like a weapon and the folks at Fenix create an appealing light that can be used in the great outdoors for any number of things that may save your life. This can place a spotlight on a wild animal (both 4 legged and 2 varieties) from half a mile away at least! I believe strongly in deterrence and while I won't be carrying the TK30 daily, I purchased it because I could if I wanted to. If you are on the fence about an LEP light, Fenix makes a high quality product that just may save a life. Keep it close when you head out into the wilderness or attach it to your favorite firearm for quick target acquisition and illumination at absurd distances. Cheers.

Comparison TK30 to luxtreme

Its a nice light and bright. But honestly for the price.....the $50 Nebo luxtreme is almost as good. For a light thats almost $300 i would truly expect it to outshine a $50 nebo by a HUGE margin. But it doesnt......and thats not too good

Hi Kevin - the TK30 uses an LEP in it, not an LED. I looked up the Nebo Luxtreme, and on their website, there are 5 models ranging in price from $99.99 to $349.99. The 4 lights that range in price from $99.99 to $149.99 all have an LED. The one that costs $349.99 is the only one that also has an LEP. LEP stands for Laser Excited Phosphor, and unlike traditional LED flashlights, the LEP flashlight uses a laser as its light source. LEP flashlights are inherently more expensive than an LED. They have a highly focused beam with very little spill. The Fenix TK30 LEP is 500 lumens, with a price of $269.95, and the Nebo Luxtreme SL100 is 525 lumens, with a price of $349.99.
