Warning: *21700 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only use quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion; but cell damage or short circuiting are potential risks the user assumes.

Battery Replacement

Unscrew the cap to insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the inside, then screw the cap back on.

Charging

  1. Uncover the anti-dust cap and plug the USB Type-C side of the charging cable into the charging port of the lamp.
  2. The normal charging time of the included Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 is about 4 hours (5V/2A) with the lamp being switched off.
  3. The indicator will display red while charging and turn green when fully charged.

* This only works with Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery.

Note:

  1. Recharge a stored headlamp every four months to maintain optimal battery performance.
  2. When charging, the Low output level of Spotlight mode can be used. The headlamp will not automatically power on after full charging.
  3. When charging is complete, replace the anti-dust cap to ensure the waterproof and dustproof ability.

Battery Level Indication

With the lamp switched off, single click the switch to check the battery status, the indicator will last for 3 seconds.

Green light on: saturated 100% - 80%

Green light flashes: sufficient 80% - 50%

Red light on: poor 50% - 20%

Red light flashes: critical 20% - 1%

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The lamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at relatively high output levels for extended periods. When the lamp reaches a temperature of 65°C or above, the lamp will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 65°C, it will then allow the user to reselection the modes.

Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. When this happens in Low output, the battery level indicator blinks to remind you to timely recharge or replace the battery.

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery.

Headband Assembly

1. The headband is factory assembled by default.

2. Adjust the headband by sliding the buckle to the required length.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the lamp and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using an excellent quality Fenix battery.
  • If the lamp will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the lamp could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.
  • Loosen the cap or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp's performance as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: The battery needs replacing.
Solution: Replace the battery (Ensure the battery is inserted according to the manufacturer’s specifications).
B: The contact point or contact of the battery or headlamp is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact the distributor.

Reviews

A hardy headlamp

"I am really liking this headlamp. It's robust, has good brightness settings, the red light comes in handy to not blind myself at night, and seems to go a long way when used extensively. It's helped me out with my hobbies when I need to use both my hands when soldering or working on computers. Great during blackouts, and I wouldn't hesitate to use this in professional/outdoors settings. The only thing to keep in mind, is that it is on the larger side of headlamps out there, and I can see how it would get heavy for some people when used all day long. This is not something that bothers Me at all, just something to be aware of. See images for size references. Would buy again."

The best headlamp ever

"Gotta love Fenix flashlights they are the best manufacturer. tought hardware no bullshet if you take care of your light they will last for years thanks fenix👍💯"

Jose L. (5/5)

The best headlamp/flashlight.

"I’ve had headlamps from petzl, black diamond and other well known brands, but this one is above them all. The quality build and the battery life far surpasses the others in the same category."

Jose M. (5/5)

Best Headlamp ever!!

"This lamp will not leave you in the dark half way through the job."

Jose C. (5/5)

Love it!

"I do handyman work and it's a great tool to use going in and out of houses and darker spaces, especially as I'm getting older. My vision is not quite as good as it used to be. I've also found it's a wonderful tool to use in the floodlight mode for picking up holidays in painted surfaces. So far I think it's been just what I needed, especially the durability and the longevity of the beam"

JOHN M. (5/5)

Amazing

"Best headlamp I have ever seen or have bought! (Only down fall how hot that sucker gets don't drop and it leave it on because it will make a fire!)"

Robert M. (5/5)

Amazing little light

"Works great amazing little light"

Sean B. (5/5)

We use these (older model)

"We use these (older model) at work and I have been really impressed with them so I finally decided to get one for myself. I thought the ones we have at work were bright, but this one trumps them. I am probably going to slowly replace my stream light products with Fenix products in the future."

Colt T. (5/5)

Reliable

"Brightest headlamp I’ve ever used. I use it shark fishing, hunting, caving, working and it never fails me. Yeah it’s heavy but I’ve never came into a situation that it was too much to handle. If I wanted lighter there are other models but I wanted rugged and bright. This is my second of this model since my last one got stolen. Guess it was good if someone wanted to steal it!"

Matthew (4/5)

Absolutely the best!

"I couldn’t be more happy with my purchase, it works great and functions better than expected. Working in HVAC the magnet base and forward clip make it the all around go to for me and my coworkers! Thanks, Fenix"
