Battery Replacement

Unscrew the light tail and insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the light tail back on.

Charging

  1. Loosen the light head counterclockwise to reveal the USB Type-C charging port and plug the USB A socket of the charging cable into an appropriate A/C powered USB plug/outlet, then connect the USB Type-C socket of the charging cable to the light.
  2. The indicator will display red while charging and will turn green when fully charged.
  3. Once charging is completed, be sure to tighten the light head to maintain the dustproof and waterproof ability.

Note:

  1. When charging fails or the battery is reversely connected, the battery indicator will flash red to remind the user to check the battery.
  2. The normal charging time of the included Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 is approximately 3.5 hours from depletion to full charging.
  3. Recharge a stored light every four months to maintain the optimum performance of the battery.
  4. The light is unavailable while charging.

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L21 series rechargeable battery.

Battery Level Indication

Each time the light is turned on, the indicator (unscrew the light head to see) will indicate the battery level and will last for 3 seconds.

Green light on: saturated 100% - 85%

Green light flashes: sufficient 85% - 50%

Red light on: poor 50% - 25%

Red light flashes: critical 25% - 1%

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L21 series rechargeable battery.

Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. When this happens in Low output, the light blinks 3 times every 5 minutes to remind you to timely recharge or replace the battery.

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L21 series rechargeable battery.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the lamp and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using an excellent quality Fenix battery.
  • Take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • If the lamp will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the lamp could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.
  • Unscrew the tail cap or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp's performance as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: Low battery.
Solution: Recharge or replace the battery (Ensure the battery is inserted according to the manufacturer’s specifications).
B: The contact point or contact of the battery or flashlight is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact the distributor.

Q1. What kind of LEDs are used in TK20R UE? Does Fenix offer to replace LED?

A: A Luminus SST40 LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.

Fenix does not provide LED replacement services for the time being, and users are not recommended to replace the LEDs independently, which may affect product performance and cause product damage.

Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact the distributor.

Great Camo color

"Powerful flashlight and love the lockout tactical everyday switch. I love how I can use low and with one switch I can go to turbo fast for anything unexpected . I love the camo color as much as I love the brightness. . 10 stars if possible"

I wrote an unverified

"I wrote an unverified review and can’t figure out how to edit it. I ended up buying a 2nd one as they are on closeout and I would assume they are discontinued. I was having problems with my original ones tail cap switch. Reached out to customer service and they promptly sent a new one out. The new tail cap fixed the issues I was having with the light originally. After a couple weeks of use I like the color temp of the light. I like the color of the light itself (went with sand). I like the tail cap switch, after I got use to it. Really just bought it for the warranty. I wanted something with a lifetime warranty, and I don’t trust the gimmicky, MLM feeling, Olight garbage. I don’t like that the battery indicator is under the ring that covers the charging port. And my biggest problem with the flashlight is that it’s turned on in my pocket multiple times. The rotary switch has even switched from daily to tactical on its own. If they just made a bigger set of ears around the button it would alleviate it. The fit and finish of the light is out of this world. It just feels like a quality product, and it just makes me happy when I use it. If you took Fenix’s fit and finish and combined it with nitecores UI and ergonomics you would have the ultimate flashlight."

Coming from Nitecore/streamlight/wurkkos the

"Coming from Nitecore/streamlight/wurkkos the build quality is nice. The UI is stupid. If they had the same UI as Nitecores P series it would be the ultimate flashlight. I really like the color temp of the light, it’s warmer than my other lights. I do not like the tail switch. I don’t know if I got a defective one or if it’s just how Fenixs switches are: The click seems to be at random depths and random pressures. Also if you’re not completely on top of the switch and push directly down it won’t activate. I really don’t like that about it. I don’t like the delay when you switch light levels, it shuts the light off for a split second before ramping up to the next level. We will see how long it lasts. Bought it because of the warranty. My Nitecore lights seem to only last just beyond the year warranty."

I have had issues

"I have had issues with the selector /locking switch accidentally being changed or switched due to the fact it sticks out past the flashlight body. Would not recommend for duty use as the light mode can be locked inadvertently."

DW (3/5)

I’m glad to see

"I’m glad to see Fenix come out of the Dark Ages and add some colors to their lights. I got the Copper Camo and it looks fantastic. I like being able to lockout the light with the 3 way tail switch. Getting to Turbo or Strobe is simple with the 2 modes. The click switch to change outputs takes some getting used to but it’s a nonissue. For me, the TK20R UE will find a place in my backpack being a little bulky for my pocket. Great light, nice colors and would recommend picking up one."

Peter T. (5/5)

Nice well built flashlight.

"Nice well built flashlight. Price is a little high. Needs a battery level indicator visible at all times. Moonlight mode and more lumens and higher candela with more throw would be nice. Make TK20R UE V2. 0"
