Intelligent Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when it is working at Turbo mode. When the light is overheated up to 65 ℃ or above, the flashlight will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature; when the temperature is lower than 65 ℃, the output will gradually return to Turbo output level.

Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level with the light switched on, low voltage warning will be activated automatically, then the battery level indicator on the Functional switch will flash red to remind battery replacement or charging. The flashlight is programmed to step down automatically to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. To ensure normal use, the flashlight will not turn off until the battery level runs out or once the battery over-discharging protection activates.

The battery holder features charging function with a standard Micro USB port.
1. Take the battery holder out of the light, plug the USB port of the charging cable into any USB power supply. and plug the Micro USB side of the charging cable into the charging port of the battery holder.
2. The charging indicator will display red while charging, and will turn to solid green when fully charged.
Note: Avoid conductive object like coins, screws and keys when takes the battery holder out of the light, to protect from circuit damage caused by electrode short circuit.

Battery Replacement

Unscrew the head to take out the battery holder, and then insert the batteries in accordance with the polarity marks. After loading the batteries into the holder, insert the holder with its convex top towards the light tail. Screw the head back on.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
Fenix recommends using excellent quality battery.
  • If the flashlight will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the flashlight could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the flashlight’s performance as dirty contacts may cause the flashlight to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: The batteries need replacing.
Solution: Replace batteries (Ensure batteries are inserted according to the manufacturer’s specifications).
B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
C: The battery protection board is in a protective state and unable to free from it.
Solution: Take out the battery holder and replace it, or replace the batteries.

If the above methods don’t work, please contact your authorized distributor.

This flashlight is a high-intensity lighting device capable of causing eye damage to the user or others. Avoid shining the flashlight directly into anyone’s eyes.

Great flashlight. This was a replacement for my old one which burnt in a fire.

  2. Robert (verified owner)

Great light, well made, and very bright. Exceptional quality. Goes well with my other Fenix lights. I recommend to anyone needing a great light.

  3. Carol Lindsey (verified owner)

Great home inspection light, 3rd one I have owned. Could be a little more rugged.

  4. John Thompson (verified owner)

I am a home inspector, and I use this flashlight daily. I recently switched back to this flashlight from the TK35UE because of the maddening mode selection dial on the TK35UE. It is easily bumped or moved, and I felt like I was spending a crazy amount of time switching it back to the right position. The only reason I give the TK35 4 stars is that I wish it had the same lumens as the TK35UE. If it did, it would be the perfect flashlight.

  5. Pierre Kerbage (verified owner)

Well built but too 2 major issues – You have to take it apart to charge it – the USB port needs to be accessible from the outside (and yes, waterproofed) and also – you can’t widen or narrow the light. Even flashlights for $10 can do that.

    • Dianne

Hi Pierre – yes, the TK35 rechargeable batteries are those that need to be taken out of the light to charge. The lights with an R in the name are the ones that have a charging port on the light itself. Also, for a flashlight with an adjustable beam, you would need one of our lights that has a focusable beam, which is the FD series.

  6. VIRIDIANA (verified owner)

The product is perfect! thank you!

  7. Mark B

I am a certified home inspector and the TK35 is an excellent flashlight for what I do. Great run time and size. The only drawback is the belt-clip holder. Very flimsy and not easy to put the flashlight back into it.

  8. Anonymous (verified owner)

    Great light

  9. Shawn (verified owner)

  10. Kenneth Windham (verified owner)

I loved it, right up to the point that I left it behind on a job site.

    • Dianne

      Oh no! What a bummer.

  11. Didier A. (verified owner)

Powerful, long throw and well constructed. Recommended.

  12. Chris M Seng

    Proud Owner
Not nearly as bright as the UE but the neutral white excellent color rendering and throw makes up for it , craftsmanship is top notch, the battery life indicator is a sweet touch , great robust feel in the hand , excellent run time makes the 2018 TK35 a great long throw flashlight.
Proud Owner of this and the Cadet Grey TK15UE.

  13. Daniel D. (verified owner)

I returned this because I meant to order the UE version. Return was simple and easy.

  14. Amancio Ortega (verified owner)

I am very happy we this Flashlight

  15. shawn (verified owner)

Prefer the smooth reflectors. Tighter beam, better distance and still a aura for any possible other threats. I would suggest making a rubber type grip. I used ‘skateboard tape’ as the light tends to be slippery. All in all a great light.

  16. Richard K. (verified owner)

Great light, high level of output & easy to use and hold. This light is a very good flashlight for the price and is as always, very well built.

  17. Joel T. (verified owner)

Very nice flashlight, it more than meets my needs. My wife loves it, say it fits very nicely in her small hands.

  18. Larry W. (verified owner)

Bought to replace a TK12. Love everything about it

  19. Todd (verified owner)

  20. Cornelia U. (verified owner)

    reliable workhorse, well made

  21. P. David Myerowitz (verified owner)

Very bright light, which is what I was looking for, but a bit bulky compared to some.

  22. Thomas Azevedo (verified owner)

Very pleased with my recent purchase and will certainly review and continue using Fenix products.

  23. Kelly Toombs

I would hate to admit how many Fenix flashlights I own. I’m hooked. They are the best! My first one was a TK35 and I now have each of the updated versions. They are nothing short of amazing. I no longer even look at any other brands.

  24. Ken Campbell

Purchased the first TK35 for work and someone liked it so much they took it. My company was kind enough to replace it for me with the upgraded unit that had a cradle for charging. The light has incredible output and works very well in large ceilings (football field size) while tracing pipes. I have four other Fenix flashlights. I’m hooked!

  25. James D

Overall Rating – 5 Stars! I love both of my Fenix flashlights! I first bought the TK35 about 5 years ago – I’ve had ZERO issues with it! It travels well (I use it on overseas trips for my job where the light output helps me inspect ongoing building construction) as long as I take the batteries out of it. (Baggage inspectors in an overseas location stopped me once and had me remove the batteries as I’d forgotten to remove them before packing it.) And, luckily, nobody’s tried to steal it. I bought my TK35UE about 3 years ago – again, ZERO issues with it! I also bought the Fenix 18650 rechargeable batteries (4 total to power both lights) and a 4-bay charger. I’ve had problems locating alkaline batteries over the counter in some overseas countries, plus the cost of buying them a couple times is more than the cost of the rechargeables! I haven’t had to travel with the charger yet – the batteries hold a charge for a long time. I saw the new rechargeable batteries with the micro USB port – I may invest in a couple just because I’m certain I’ll be overseas and need to recharge my batteries otherwise. I’m certain they’ll work just as well as the others I’ve bought here from Fenix. Great engineering on the products – I’m a loyal customer now!

  26. T. Leonard

I own 5 Fenix lights PD20,PD22 ,PD30,PD32UE and the TK35. All are fantastic lights ,I usually carry the PD20 or PD22 both are excellent edc lights , my favorite is the PD32UE! Come on 4 brightness settings and a 740 lumen burst ! You just can’t beat that for a light this small !

  27. Brent D.

if you want a light that is better than all your friends, get this one! I have yet to see any one this a better one!

  28. J. Adams

I have had the TK35 for quite some time now and I use and carry it with me every day. This is by far one of the best lights I have ever had. I have compared it to several surefire lights and not even they can compaire to fenix quality. Good job Fenix. Cant wait to get the TK75.

  29. Carl Tomakin

I am a commercial business inspector for a pest control company and choosing the best flashlight is critical to what I do and when I am doing extensive inspections in tunnels or large warehouses (over a million square feet in space), I only trust the best light and that’s the Fenix TK35.

For smaller scale inspections, I depend on the Fenix PD30 and its upgrade, the Fenix PD32- both awesome flashlights! If you are serious about lightning, look no more. This is the standard of brightness.

  30. J. Beck

This flash light rocks! I’m a home inspector and this light beats out every light I’ve used in my ten years of business and I’ve used them all. I really like the multiple options of brightness and especially the turbo when I’m in the darkest crawl spaces. Keep making the TK35 and I’ll keep purchasing!
