Battery Specifications

Type Dimensions Nominal Voltage Recommended
Rechargeable Li-ion battery 18650* 3.6V Fenix ARB-L18 Series

Warning: *18650 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only use quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion; but cell damage or short circuiting are potential risks the user assumes.

Battery Replacement
Loosen the lock catch and open the tail cap to insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then close the tail cap and fasten the lock catch.

Intelligent Overheat Protection
The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used on Turbo output level for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C, it will then allow the user for the reselection of Turbo mode.

Low Voltage Warning
When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. When this happens in Low output, one of the battery level indicators blinks to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.

Usage and Maintenance of the Fenix WT25R Adjustable Head Flashlight

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using an excellent quality battery.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
  • Lock the light or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp’s performance as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: The battery needs replacing.
Solution: Replace battery pack /battery (Ensure battery is inserted according to the manufacturer’s specifications).
B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don’t work, please contact your authorized distributor.

  • This flashlight is a high-intensity lighting device capable of causing eye damage to the user or others. Avoid shining the flashlight directly into anyone’s eyes.
  • This flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used for extended periods, resulting in high temperature of the flashlight shell. Pay attention to safe use to avoid scalding.

I was skeptical at first but after putting this thing too work for a week straight , it’s made it way into my every day work carry bag , the right angles great , the tail stand is amazing, mag tail is extremely helpful, square body shape makes sure this thing doesn’t roll away 10 feet away from me! All in all , I recommend this light to the working type, not so much a edc in the front pocket of your denim going out for the night. Who’s gonna stop you though it’s pretty compact for what ya get. This ones gonna stay with me for a while.

I’m digging this flashlight I put it to work the day I got it! Clipping it on my work apron , sticking it to the door on my work truck bins , and throwing it tailstanding under a sink ! The shapes nice also no more rolling away , tail standing is nice for jotting down some quick notes also on a table or even the hood of my truck. I’m super happy with this new style ! Gonna be putting through its paces for sure.

This baby is bright! Only complaint is i wish the base magnet was stronger other than that this thing is sweet. Quick battery level check, multiple brightness modes..

The Fenix WT25R is one of the Best 18650 Flashlights on Planet Earth.. I love this flashlight!!

The adjustable head makes it much more useful, I will never buy another flashlight that doesn’t have a swivel head. The square body helps too, it won’t roll. The bottom is flat so it will stand up, there’s a magnet in the base, it’s plenty strong to hold it to a flat metal surface. The battery hatch opens like a hinged door, it locks closed, it has an additional metal locking wire that snaps in place to guarantee it will stay closed. The button is awesome, with 4 blue LEDS built into the button to show the battery status.

The interface of button pushes is intelligent and intuitive
Press and hold for .5 seconds to turn on (general mode)
Single click to cycle through ~ low, med, high, turbo (50, 150, 400, 1000) lumens
At any time, hold for 1.2 seconds to activate or deactivate Strobe, single click to activate SOS
At any time, press and hold for .5 seconds to turn off or on
When off, double click to lock off, double click to unlock
When off, single click to see battery level indicator on button
When you turn it on, it remembers the last general lighting level

There’s a metal clip to slip it securely onto clothing
There’s a tiny hole to attach a strap ~ that is included
The beam pattern is flawless, a feathered hot spot with a flood spill

I use a Nitecore UMS2 battery charger, but the magnetic charger attachment design is very smart and durable.

Spoiler: I favor Fenix light; I own 14 of them. I find them generally very well constructed and dependable. Very handy, general purpose, backup, utility/work light. Light, small, square shape gives a secure grip to old (my) or cold hands. Well placed, largish single control – the placement of which take some getting used to – work well. The On/Off lock control takes some getting used to, confuses a user under stress and is of questionable utility. The fast press to indicate battery charge state feature, via 1 to 4 tiny, blue LED, is an excellent feature. The magnetic charge connection is a excellent feature but the corresponding, and required, light specific cord is worthless because, at about 12,” IS TOO *&^%$$% SHORT. This is a foolish shortcoming. I added an extension and taped them together. The latching mechanism that closes the battery door – which contains the magnetic attachment mechanism – is OK but a bit too easy to open. The gold plated contacts are excellent. The belt clip shape – easily attached, easy off – and tension is excellent but will not work with a thicker (1/4″) pistol belt. The beam amalgam of spot and flood beams favors the spot too heavily; this is, afterall, a utility light to work by. The rotating head is absolutely the cat’s meow. I like it, I carry it daily as a backup and work light.
