My family and I recently went camping in the desert over the New Year’s weekend with a group of friends. The main event, of course, is the change over of years at midnight, singing around a roaring bonfire. The only issue with this is various children (and more than a few dogs) running around in the dark in the middle of nowhere. For years we’ve utilized glowsticks on strings to keep track of little ones in the dark. This year I decided to take it to the next level with a CL20R attached to my 2 year-old son on a carabiner. It worked great, he loved having his own big-boy light, and the flashing red beacon ensured that I knew which one of the darting points of light belonged to me.
