ON/OFF

Tap the tail switch to momentarily turn on the light, release it the light goes out. Fully press the tail switch to turn ON/OFF the light.

Output Selection

With the light on, single-click the side switch to cycle through Turbo→Low→Mid→High→Eco.

Strobe and SOS

With the light on, press and hold the side switch for 0.5 seconds to enter into Strobe mode.

Under Strobe mode, single-click the side switch to cycle through Strobe→SOS.

Then press and hold the side switch for 0.5 seconds to turn back to General mode.

Intelligent Memory Circuit

The flashlight memorizes the last-used brightness level in the General mode, but not Strobe and SOS. The next time you turn on the flashlight, it will activate the last brightness level you selected.

Over-heat Protection

The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when it is working at Turbo and High brightness level. When it works at Turbo for 3 minutes or at High for 30 minutes, the flashlight will automatically downshift to lower output to prevent the light from overheating. If the Turbo or High output is needed, please reset it again. But the flashlight could be damaged or the normal service life would be shortened because of continuous use like this.

Low-voltage Warning Function

If low voltage is detected, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until to Eco brightness level. When this happens at Eco output mode, the flashlight blinks three times every five minutes to remind you to replace the battery. To ensure normal use, the flashlight will not turn off automatically and will work until the battery runs out completely.

Battery Replacement

Unscrew the tail cap to insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, and then screw the tail cap.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using excellent quality battery. If the lamp will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the lamp could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
  • Unscrew the tail cap one-half turn or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp's performance as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    Reason A: The batteries need replacing.
    Solution: Replace batteries (Please confirm the correct installation of anode and cathode).
    Reason B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty.
    Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please refer to the warranty policy before contacting your authorized distributor. Notice: The routine cleaning video can be watched and downloaded through Fenix official website, please log onto the service channel->“maintenance for light”.

Warning

The flashlight is a high-intensity lighting device capable of causing eye damage to the user or others. Avoid shining the flashlight directly into anyone’s eyes.

PD32 - Original 2016

Bought my first one back in 2017 - has been the best EDC light I've ever had. So much so that I have since went back and bought multiple more in the off chance it ever gets where you can't find them anymore. I also recommend this light to everyone that is in need of one that's high quality and reliable!

nice flashlight, even in 2023

This is a brief review of the Fenix PD32, 2016 edition, which I purchased in August, 2023. So, in other words, I knew I was purchasing a flashlight that might not match up to the powerful flashlights in the current Fenix lineup. So, am I happy with it?

Turns out I am glad I bought it, for several reasons:

It is somewhat smaller and lighter than current models (it's even somewhat thinner, at least in the head section, compared to some current 18650 models);

Based on the specs, it has somewhat longer run-times than current models at similar brightness levels;

It tail-stands very easily, which is not always the case;

It has a nice beam, with a not-too-pronounced center spot (i.e. more flood-like compared to some current models). I really like the look of the beam.

So, even in 2023 this is an interesting flashlight, if you don't need the more extreme brightness levels of some current models, mostly trading to get a smaller size/weight.

SWEET LIGHT- FANTASTIC PRICE!!

I had this torch in 2016 when it came out and ended up losing it. When I saw that Fenix Lighting still had this on their website I jumped on it! The PD32 is one of Fenix most underrated torch! This torch is a fantastic EDC 900 lumens is plenty bright and I use this thing every night! This is actually the V2 as I had the 1st gen and it was 340 lumens.... Anyhow Fenix Lighting is the place to buy, ive NEVER had one issue with them!! TWO THUMBS UP ALL DAY LONG👍👍

Fine, Works with Thyrm Switchback 2.0

Only two weeks of use and research, but I don't want to go back to my old one. It survived me and kids for this long, so it's passed the test so far. And the options for 50 or 150 lumens is great new feature for me, I haven't had to recharge the battery yet.

I thought it would have too many features to be dependable and intuitive. Nah, it's fine. Anodized aluminum is great.

I replaced the pocket clip with some aftermarket one. Not because the one that came with the flashlight was a bit snug to easily slide in jeans, but because I wanted some other feature the clip had.

The tailswitch button is occluded and protected from being accidentally activated during normal daily activities. An engineering success there.

I LOVE MY FLASHLIGHT!!!!!

Its small yet Powerful ! I love the adjustable power modes! I can keep it in my pocket at all times and its always ready for action(unless this idiot forgets to charge the battery :-p ). I have have been spoiled by the reliability and durability of Fenix flashlights that to get any other brand would be blasphemy! Lol I would go through Maglites quarters in a slot machine. One little drop and its another 20-30 bucks down the drain. I have dropped my Fenix down hot engine bays, oil, 12 foot under water swimming pool repairs down hills and small clifs and I don't even have to check it like a dropped smart phone. I just put it back in my pocket and I KNOW it will run like a dream the next time I need it. Thank you for Fenix for such a great product!!!!! :-D
