Product Overview

The Fenix TK11 TAC is a flashlight designed with the tactical user in mind. The flashlight’s two operating modes were designed to support the law enforcement and security markets specifically. The unique design features a toggle tail switch which allows you to quickly switch between Tactical Mode, which limits the light to only the highest brightness level and strobe for tactical situations, or Duty Mode which accesses all lighting modes for on-duty demands.

Powered by a 18650 battery or disposable CR123As (no batteries are included), this flashlight’s balanced beam can throw a maximum 1600 lumens a long reaching 1099ft (335m). Tough and reliable, the TK11 TAC is impact resistant and has an IP68 rating making it dustproof and waterproof.

Non-rechargeable Battery (Lithium)CR123A3.0VUsable

Warning: *18650 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only use quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion; but cell damage or short circuiting are potential risks the user assumes.

Battery Replacement

Unscrew the tail cap to insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the tail cap back on.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used on High output level for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C, it will then allow the user for the reselection of High mode.

Low-voltage Warning on the TK11 Tactical Flashlight

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. When this happens in Low output, the light blinks 3 times every 5 minutes to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L18 Series 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using an excellent quality battery.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
  • Lock the light or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp's performance as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: The battery needs replacing.
Solution: Replace battery pack /battery (Ensure battery is inserted according to the manufacturer’s specifications).
B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.

Warning

  • This flashlight is a high-intensity lighting device capable of causing eye damage to the user or others. Avoid shining the flashlight directly into anyone's eyes.
  • This flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used for extended periods, resulting in high temperature of the flashlight shell. Pay attention to safe use to avoid scalding.
  • All information provided in this manual is subject to change without prior notice.

Q1.  What is the APF?

A: The APF (Advanced Pulse-frequency Transmission System) was developed by Fenix Laboratory for producing better flashlights. It has abandoned the traditional development way, breaking through the technology bottleneck, allowing flashlight with a tail switch to achieve a higher level of performance:

1. Higher output: the APF system has made higher lumens from a forward switch possible, it breaks the limitation of current.

2. Simpler multi-functional tail switch: this APF technology can transmit various signal commands through a single layer within the light body. Traditional signal transmission requires a multi-layer system. Thanks to this new single-layer system, the light size can be greatly reduced and the structure will be more compact.

3. Better anti-interference performance: the APF system combats signal interference, but it doesn't work if it is applied to a magnetic switch. Therefore, the TK11 TAC will be less prone to interference based on the use of a mechanical switch.

Q2.  What should I do if the TK11 TAC needs repair?

A: 1. 15-day replacement: Fenix will replace identical or equal products with documented manufacturing defects within 15 days of purchase.

2. 2-year free repair: Fenix will repair a light free of charge within 2 years of purchase if problems develop with normal use.

3. Lifetime maintenance: If repair is required after 2 years from the date of purchase, Fenix will charge for parts. The total repair fee is dictated by the cost of the replaced materials.
