The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used on High mode for extended periods. When the temperature drops below 60°C, it will then allow the user the reselection of High mode.

Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output mode, one battery level indicator blinks to remind you to timely recharge the battery until it is completely power off.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Rotate the toggle switch in anticlockwise direction to lock the flashlight to avoid accidental activation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp's performance as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: Poor battery level.
    Solution: Recharge the battery.
B: The product, battery contact or other contacts are dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

Just amazed on how this

"Just amazed on how this flashlight is . Glad I bought it."

Carl V. (5/5)

Very bright

"The light is crazy bright just wish battery was replaceable"

Steven J. (5/5)

The Portable Sun

"If the HT30R is a laser pointer, the Fenix LR40R V2. 0 is a handheld stadium light. Classified as a "lumen monster," this high-performance searchlight pushes out a staggering 15,000 lumens and can throw a beam up to 900 meters (over half a mile). What makes the LR40R truly special is its dual-beam design, allowing you to seamlessly switch between a piercing spotlight, a massive wall of floodlight, or a blinding combination of both. Performance and Build: Built like a tank from A6061-T6 aluminum, the LR40R V2. 0 carries some serious heft at nearly 2 pounds (29. 7 oz). It utilizes a central LED for the spotlight, surrounded by a ring of 16 smaller LEDs for the floodlight. Operation is surprisingly intuitive thanks to a mechanical rotary toggle switch that lets you physically select your beam type, paired with a central button to cycle through brightness levels. It's powered by a massive, built-in 15,000mAh battery pack that not only sustains high outputs but also allows the flashlight to double as a high-capacity power bank to charge your phone or tablet. The Pros:Unbelievable Versatility: Having dedicated, high-performance spot and flood beams in one unit means it can handle close-up area illumination just as well as long-range searching. Massive Output: 15,000 lumens is enough to light up an entire field, parking lot, or hillside with ease. Intuitive Controls: The rotary dial makes it incredibly easy to switch between modes without having to remember complex button-click sequences. Power Bank Functionality: The USB discharge port is a highly practical feature for emergencies or long camping trips. Safety Sensor: It features an intelligent proximity sensor that automatically steps down the brightness if the lens gets too close to an object, preventing accidental fires or melted gear. The Cons:Size and Weight: It is roughly the size of a tall soda can and is quite heavy. It comes with a belt holster for a reason—you aren't fitting this in your pocket. Built-in Battery: The battery pack is integrated and non-replaceable. While it will last for years, once the battery eventually degrades, the light cannot be easily serviced by the user. The Price Tag: As a premium, duty-grade piece of equipment, it requires a significant financial investment. The VerdictThe Fenix LR40R V2. 0 is absolute overkill for walking the dog or looking for a dropped key in the driveway. However, if you are in search and rescue, property management, or just a flashlight enthusiast who wants the power of the sun in the palm of your hand, this is one of the most capable and versatile heavy-duty lights on the market."

Could not be happier

"I have this flashlight for at least 6+ years. It is used EVERY day. The spot and flood switchable feature is beyond outstanding. I would buy this again in a heartbeat."

Tremendous light You will see

"Tremendous light You will see everything"

Angelo A. (5/5)

Does the job

"Purchased as a gift for an elder family member. Has been extremely useful this winter in western NY and no problems reported using the buttons with gloves. Recharging has generally been easy."

M. C. (4/5)

Light sensor way too sensitive

"Light sensor would turn the light down and would not resume brightness till I turn it to lock and try again. This happens when I use flood on low to change a tire and while working in a circuit breaker in my house. The light is nice for the woods but not very useful for everything else."

Tuan T. (1/5)

All purpose search light.

"Have been very happy. Getting used to all the features. Have the rc40 I believe which is a great spot light. But really like the floodlight on this model when in the woods at night"

Ed B. (5/5)

Fenix Lighting: No one outshines them!

"Love this flashlight! Absolutely amazing and bright! Fenix customer for life! Great quality, great service, great products!"

THOMAS F. (5/5)

Great Light

"One word describes this light - GREAT This is the brightest Fenix light I've got and have never regretted buying this product. You can't go wrong getting yourself one."
