Awful design- starting at 50% battery life, it automatically steps down the brightness to lowest level....don't even worry about 600 lumens, the light doesn't let you decide how bright it gets, within seconds it adjusts back to 10 lumens, or whatever the lowest one is. Save the frustration, get anything else!

Great product! I use this headlamp on my Hardhat working 12 hour night shifts around Industrial Equipment, easy to use functions & modes even with gloves on! Highly recommended & affordable, better than all past used brands.

Bought this head lamp for a camping trip a few years ago. We ended up camping in a very we light area, too well light, lights we on all night, so we did not use it. I have been using it around the house ever since and it works great. I have a HL30 and was a little concerned that the HL32R, not having overhead strap, may want to fall down a bit, but it stays in place just fine. Beam and throw are very comparable to HL30 and is really good. One of the many things I like about these head lamps is the wide beam, when working on something you don't have to turn your head to light area in your peripheral, just your eyes. The battery last and holds a charge for a long time. I think I have only charged it 5 times in 3 years, I only use it about 6 times a year. This is an all-around great headlamp and would highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

Spending this much on a headlamp, I kind of had higher expectations, so maybe I'm being too critical. That being said, the setup of the switches is kind of terrible. First, there's no memory function for the white light. But on the other Fenix HM50R I bought there is?

So each time you turn it on, it goes to the lowest white setting, which is sometimes tough to see, so if you hold it down too long it goes to turbo mode. It gets really annoying quick, when you're just trying to turn the light on to med/high setting for decent light and battery conservation.
