*18350 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only using quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion. Cell damage or short circuiting caused by using this type of battery is considered user induced damage and is not covered by any Fenix warranty or liability.

Battery Replacement

Unscrew the light head and insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the light head back on.

Charging

  1. Turn off the light and open the anti-dust cover to reveal the charging port, then connect the USB Type-C end of the charging cable to the light.
  2. The indicator will display red while charging and will turn green when fully charged.
  3. Once charging is completed, be sure to unplug the charging cable and close the anti-dust cover.

Note:

  1. The light cannot be operated while charging.
  2. Recharge the battery promptly to ensure its normal life expectancy.
  3. The normal charging time of the light is approximately 2 hours from depleted to fully charged.
  4. Recharge a stored light every four months to maintain the optimum performance of the battery.

Battery level indication

Each time the light is turned on, the indicator will indicate the battery level and will last for 3 seconds.

Green light on: 100% - 85%

Green light flashes: 85% - 50%

Red light on: 50% - 25%

Red light flashes: 25% - 1%

*This feature only works with a Fenix ARB-L18-1100 18350 rechargeable battery.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C/140°F or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C/140°F, the light automatically recalls the previously used output level.

Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the light is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level. When the voltage level is still too low, the battery level indicator will blink red rapidly to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.

*This feature only works with a Fenix ARB-L18-1100 18350 rechargeable battery.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using an excellent quality battery.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
  • If burnt powder residue coats the lens, try cleaning it with a glass cleaner or mild solvent.
  • Remove the battery to prevent accidental activation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Since gun maintenance requires the use of organic solvents, organic solvents contaminating key internal components of the light may cause malfunctions, and the light will not receive normal warranty service.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the light's performance as dirty contacts may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: Poor battery level.
Solution: Replace or recharge the battery.
B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

Excellent light

"Beam profile is perfect, extremely bright, fit and finish is phenomenal as is all fenix products. Has a nice tactile click when operated, and holds securely. Holster fitment can be a little rough but overall highly recommend and trust it fully."

Great WML

"I debated back and forth between this and another industry favorite. The switches on the Fenix were very different than what I’m used to. After pulling the trigger I can say these switches are absolutely fantastic. Amazing light"

Adam F. (5/5)

"Incredibly bright, super quality feel to it. 10/10 would recommend"

Chase (5/5)

Excellent quality lights at fair

"Excellent quality lights at fair prices. I have a headlight, a rifle light and handgun lights. Every light is intelligently designed and very user friendly. I especially like the battery charging circuits are built into the batteries and don’t require a special charger. The headlight, rifle lights and handheld lights have a charging port built into the housing. Best hiking and weapon lights on the market."

Jeffery L. (5/5)

Should and could be smaller.

"Should and could be smaller. Would be much nicer with auto strobe. Construction is excellent! Weight is good for its size. Attachment mechanism is also flawless. Overall, works well. I would recommend to anyone. I would gladly pay 100. 00 more if 25% smaller with strobe."

Great Product, Better Service

"I bought the GL19 V1 about a year and a half ago, and loved it. After about a year, I had a weird issue with the switch, and sent it into the warranty dept. to get fixed. Even though it was a minor issue and the light I sent in still looked great, they shipped me a brand-new V2. 0 light. It arrived incredibly fast. They could have easily put it back on me, dragged their feet or made me pay for repairs, but they took care of me and I really appreciate that. Of course the light is excellent, and blindingly bright. It feels very high quality, from the threads to the ambi switches. But, even if you do manage to damage it, they'll make sure you're taken care of with repair or replacement options"

I’ve used Fenix flashlights

"I’ve used Fenix flashlights for about the last 18 years. Their lights have stood the test of time. It’s hard to believe their weapon lights aren’t more popular than they are! Last I knew, they just weren’t making them. Once I discovered the GL 19R, it wasn’t a hard decision to get one. So far, I’ve found it to be bright to a decent distance, enough to illuminate my target very well out at 25 yards. I haven’t tested in full darkness, but am confident it will illuminate much much farther. You see, my testing at 25 yards was under moderate lighting and it made my target much more visible. The light looks awesome, it’s well made which is consistent with all my other Fenix lights, and it is streamline which helps prevent any accidental hang-up issues. The only downside is holster availability. It seems that Fenix could do a better marketing job and work with more holster manufacturers. I honestly think more folks would really like this light! It’s a good one so far!"

Very happy with the

"Very happy with the output and size of the light it fit perfectly on my full size 1911. The activation switches are different but after going through the different options of activation switches and setting it up to my liking they are very functional. I will say the activation switches are very sensitive so it is easy to activate both the momentary on and constant on which has its pros and cons. I've found the small amount of pressure needed to activate the light can lead to unintentionally activating the light when holstering or unholstering just by rubbing the switches against the body when carrying IWB but after figuring that out and avoiding that little contact from hitting the switches I haven't had them activate under recoil or normal everyday carry movement in the holster. My recommendation to fenix would be to flip the activation controlls to momentary down and constant up on the V3. I now own both GL19r v1 and V2 and both are great lights for the money I just hope the keep improving in the tactical light market."
