  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.

Solution: Replace battery (Ensure battery is inserted according to the manufacturer’s specifications). B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty. Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

Great light

Love this new light. I still have my original E12 and love both it and this new light. Would love it if Fenix would offer the original E12 again. Both lights have their benefits. I will be purchasing another E12 v2.0!

Pretty good flashlight for a single AA battery!

Small and convenient and, which is important, very safe, can be carried everywhere, including planes, comparing to the flashlights with extremely powerful batteries. Also you can find AA everywhere so it won't be an issue. A small downsize, although not a deal breaker, it should remember the last mode it was working on, not to start from the weakest one again and again. Just saying.., In general, pretty good gift, I sent one to my brother in law and purchased one for my wife, they both liked it. The third one is mine. Not I have almost a dozen flashlights - pretty complete collection.

Generally speaking, the smaller lights (E01 V2, E02R, E05R, E09R, E12 V2) do not have intelligent memory on them, presumably because the smaller the light is the less room there is for the chip that is required for intelligent memory. The E03R and E03R V2 have intelligent memory, presumably because they are a different shape and more space for the chip.

Darn near perfect pocket flashlight

The only thing I'd change about it, and I'm hoping Fenix sees this and puts it in a v3.0 model, I wish it had a momentary-on low output with partial push of the tail switch from off mode. Otherwise, perfect pocket flashlight. The mode selector works great and the 3 light levels are just right.

We can pass that along to the manufacturer.

Great little light

This is my second E12. Wore out the switch on my first one. Carried it in my pocket for 4 or 5 years. Used all most everyday. I like the clip on this new one. I already used the clip twice since receiving the new light. Great product would recommend to anyone.

Great flashlight, useless pocket clip.

I'm glad I bought the Fenix E12 v2.0. It's a simple, dependable, pocket-sized light with no strobe, SOS, or memory function. It powers on with a single click of the end cap button, and defaults to the 5-lumen setting on every startup. A light half-press on the end cap button advances from 5 lumens to 30 lumens, then to the max 160 lumens. The reflector collimates the beam to produce a bright center spot that does a remarkable job illuminating at a distance outdoors at night. I was shocked at how much illumination is produced by this light even at 5 lumens (where I use it most often).

Now the not-so-good: the so-called "pocket clip" is absolutely useless. The rounded tip that first meets your pocket actually forces the pants pocket seam over the outside of the clip, dropping the flashlight entirely into the pocket. Anyone able to get the clip over their pocket seam will immediately encounter the second roadblock - a small tab jutting out from the rounded attachment arms of the clip, that snag your pocket seam and prevent the flashlight from going fully into your pocket. I threw the pocket clip away. Useless! Plan to use the included lanyard and loop it through a belt loop.

Color spectrum of the LED has a yellow-green bias. Not a dealbreaker for me by any means, but worth noting for those of you spoiled by Nichia's 219 and 519 series emitters.
