ON/OFF

Fully press the tail switch to turn on/off the light.

Output Selection

When the light is on, slightly tap the tail switch to cycle through Low→Mid→High→Turbo.

Note: The flashlight memorizes the last used brightness level, turn it on in 1 second after shutdown, it will recall that previously brightness level.

Battery Replacement

Unscrew the tail cap to insert the batteries with the anode side (+) toward the light's head, screw the tail cap back on.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using excellent quality battery. If the flashlight will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the flashlight could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
  • Unscrew the tail cap one-half turn or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transport.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the light’s performance as dirty contacts may cause the flashlight flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
Reason A: The batteries need replacing.
Solution: Replace batteries (Please confirm the correct installation of anode and cathode).
Reason B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please refer to the warranty policy before contacting your authorized distributor.

Notice: The routine cleaning video can be watched and downloaded through Fenix Official Website, please log onto the service channel->“maintenance for light”.

Warning

The flashlight is a high-intensity lighting device capable of causing eye damage to the user or others. Avoid shining the light directly into anyone’s eyes.

Decent light, but does

"Decent light, but does not meet my needs. I wanted a general purpose 2AA light to replace something like a 2/3 D-cell maglight. My E20 has a dingy yellow tint to the light, and a concentrated center beam with long throw, but very limited light in the general spill area. I wanted something with a broader beam. For comparison on light color, my E12 is an excellent pocket light, with a clean white light color."

This is my second

"This is my second E20. Great light, especially the multi brightness. At low setting, it is good for close work."

Good basic flashlight. Tight

"Good basic flashlight. Tight cone and good distance of beam, bit still has some good bleeding light for wider view."

Bought this as a

"Bought this as a replacement for the E21 I lost (otherwise I wouldn't have needed it, although the E21 was over 8 years old), and I'm blown away with this E20. I thought I didn't need the four modes, but as turned out I'm sold on it. The turbo-mode is like you're trying to call Batman, and the low beam picks up road signs over 300 metres away (btw, I'm Dutch, so I think in metres and not feet). The medium setting picks up road signs almost 750 metres away. And then there is another mode between medium and turbo, so figure. I know, it's not very scientific, but it gives an idea. Furthermore the build quality is superb, it's build like a tank. A brilliant flash light and I can recommend it highly for everyone who needs a dependable every day user. Keep on the good work. Charles"

I have several Fenix

"I have several Fenix and other brand flashlights. I have two of thees E20s and other models. For me, the E20 is the best. Powerful. Light. Durable. Battery powered. Took it camping and was very impressed. I like the battery power source so I do not have to worry about charging. Also, battery lasts a long time on low beam and the beam is powerful enough. Please continue to make this model number, E20. Toney"
