I can’t stop buying Fenix Products. I got this lamp during the November 2016 cyber sale. Being in tornado alley it was perfect for my storm shelter. While waiting for this years storm season to roll in, I started to use it in my safe as the Velcro attached battery operated lights in the top of the safe were crap and had to go in the trash. With the magnetic base, I can stick the lantern on my safe and light up everything I need access to. Once these go on a members deal I’ll be snagging several more lanterns. Although a niche market, Fenix please develop some proper lighting for use in a safe. Whatever you come up with has to be better than whats on the market now.

Great light! I take it everywhere with me. I think I need a second just to leave in my truck. I have been using it as a task light while I restore an old chevy truck. It is great because I can use the magnet to stick it just about anywhere and adjust the light. I have taken it fishing and hunting. It hangs great from my hammock cover line. Sometimes the 360 degree lighting doesn’t work because it shines back in my face, I use tape to cover about 90-180 degrees. Would be a nice feature if it were built-in.

I love this light. I have lights that range from $10 to $500. This is hands down my most used/favorite. I use it every night as a bedside lamp. It offers the perfect amount of light for me, while not waking up others. I have had it for over a year and it is still working flawlessly.

I recently purchased this for $82.25 CDN for use on two canoe trips. We took it instead of our fuel lantern. What a disappointment! I like the size and the levels of light and the magnetic base — too bad the rechargeable batteries never worked. We tried to charge the batteries using different systems – including plugging cable into electrical socket via big cube that charges my iPad. My email to Fenex did not produce results. We went to office supply store at nearest city and they said they had no stronger chargers. We bought recommended Lithium CR123A 3 v batteries to use instead but the non-rechargeable batteries didn’t last the night. The extra pair didn’t last much longer. Wish I had brought my old fashioned fuel powered lantern.

Unbelievable lantern. Bought it solely to take to N Myrtle so my son and his buddy could fish at night. We took the base post to our umbrella down and hung it on there. It was like a mini SUN out there on the beach. If you want to get an idea of this light check out my pic on Instagram (jgoose514). If you are teetering you will buy it after seeing that photo! Great light. Great service.

Excellent little rechargeable lantern. I have owned two of these handy well crafted lights for several months with almost daily use … I am super pleased with their performance.

Discount any negative reviews regarding this fine lantern as IMHO their is no other compact rechargeable lantern on the planet which can compare to this awesome light.

It was dark and raining. Four of us were approaching an animal enclosure from the rear entrance, where there was no lighting. I pulled my CL25R out of my fanny pack, turned it on and stuck it to the cyclone fence post. It allowed us to see what we were doing and complete our task. It’s very small and powerful.

I just recently received this item. Battery is all charged up and I am very impressed. I mainly bought this to use car camping. However it really can be used in many different ways. Testing it in the house t really can brighten up a room. Very impressed with all of the setting and yet so simple in design. Defiantly getting ride of my coleman propane lantern and replacing it with the CL25R. I would recommend this item to anyone. Wish I had this lantern many years ago.

I wish I had time to leave a full review on this product, but in short it is better than any lantern I have found on the market; gas, electric, candle, etc. The battery life is phenomenal. The magnet is super strong and will cling to just about any metal object (think under your car hood or lighting fixture in your house when the power goes out) . I often drop it on the floor of my truck or in my pack and find it with screws and bits attached to the magnet.

The design is solid. Shape, size, durability are great. It fits anywhere. It will light your path if you are walking (put a reflector behind it like the good ol’ days) and illuminate a huge area if you hang it up on the D-ring. I use the red or low for a night light for my daughter when camping. The low setting is almost too bright for a night-light. The high setting is surprisingly bright. Think of a Coleman fuel lantern on full blast, but less damaging to the retinas.

I haven’t had the chance to use this for any detailed work at night (e.g. changing automotive belts or quartering an elk), but every time I turn it on I think of how perfect it would be for any of those things. I can’t even imagine how great this would be with a Gorilla pod.

I’m getting at lest 2 more before some gun or knife magazine gives these a “best buy” award and they sell-out or the prices go up.

I have been watching Fenix for almost 10 years now, and their products never let me down. I was spoiled on SureFires while in the Corps, and these are the best (or better) SureFire alternatives you can find on a working man’s budget.

The compact size of this lantern is really something. It carries without issue or annoyance in cargo pockets. I have just the one and would like to get more for any power outages over time. I use 3400 18650s, and with 880 hours (34 days) of constant moonlight available off a fresh battery, or 500 hours off two CR123 batteries it’s zero-worry leaving it on moonlight mode through the night if you fall asleep with it on. The moonlight mode is very pleasant, and if your eyes are night adjusted you won’t have trouble navigating an average household room. The second mode, at 50 lumens is like having a floor lamp on without night-adjusted eyes and is just brilliant if you’ve been accustomed to moonlight.

Also: Fenix: Thank You for a Moonlight Mode Light!! It’s not a flashlight per se, but it’s progress! Make a PD35 and a TK/LD 75 with a 0.5 lumen setting and Olight looses their edge (I do love Olight, regardless, but the direct-access moonlight mode is what I miss the most from Fenix lights in comparison)

Anyway: love the lantern – will get more, thank you for the red light setting. My first “real” flashlight was a PD35 and since then Fenix has set the bar. Thanks guys!

This is the best portable lantern on the market. Everything about it is great. Size, weight, output and tint. It is very versatile for any task. Hunting, finishing, camping, hiking. Enjoying the beautiful LED lite night. It has become one of my favorite companions, it’s very nice having back lighting and not always using a flashlight. I have used mine everyday for the last several months and like it so much I have purchased a second. I want to say thank you to Fenix store for all the great products, knowledge and excellent customer service they offer A++++++

I was lucky enough to be able to test this light during one of the trade shows it was first released at. I took the light for a evening and ran it through some desert camping activities. Here are my thoughts:

-USB Rechargeable is easy to use and charged quickly, but it’s also super useful that it allows you to be able to use CR123A. In fact, I think I’ll always have the backup pair of CR123A so that if I can’t get a charge on the light, then I can pop those guys in and carry on with no issue.

-Brightness- It is bright. The 200 and 350 lumens I think is most useful in hanging the light from somewhere high. Like toss over a limb. It lights a very large area this way with soft lighting. Not blinding you as you accidentally look at it. 50 lumens with 24 hr runtime could be the most used level for most. Great amount of light for sitting around a table or lighting a wide general area around your campsite or garage.

-I find the magnetic bottom to be super helpful. Connect it under your hood, on your fender, around your grill, shelters, bathrooms, etc.

-Compact size is great. I had it in my cargo pants when I wasn’t using it. It’s not exactly EDC, but small enough that you won’t have problem finding room for it in your pack or pants.

-Red LED and flashing can be used in a multitude of ways. I used the red in my tent. Flashing is good for signaling if you have a car issue. Just slap on the fender and it will alert folks before they get within a mile of you.

Overall, super impressed with the light. You might buy it for the 350 lumen, but be ready to find all the other usefulness it provides beyond the impressive highest setting.
