It's a great value as it has extra battery storage for C1 23‘s but also you can use a flashlight you already have instead of buying one.

My first coment is that this headband is slightly less than half the amount I paid for my headlamp. I don't rember how long the headband my headlamp came with on purchase. The the headband designed for the Fenix headlamps is better than after market ones. It's cost is outrageous. Perhaps because fenix headlams are so very well designed and durable, the pricing is an revenue stream which is irresistable in the sense of return customers. The first time I replaced the headlamp I bought an aftermarket band for $12.00. The strapping was good, but like any headband the slrappion streches eventually I can buy two for the price of your replacement.. One star off.

I'm a Great Lakes blue water sailer. That means that on a regular basis I'm leaning out near to over the side of the boat in heavy seas. I've always been anxious that my fenix would would slip of and into the water. It would leave me in the lurch trying to do the necessaries in the dark where the option of working one handed isn''t possible. I've often though that adding a chin strap would be a way of getting around that risk. Well....?

I use this device 60 hours a week to do electrical work because it allows precise articulation and accommodates my flashlight of choice. My old one was falling apart after 5 years of continuous service. When I first looked for another, it looked like they were no longer being sold, and I was very relieved to find it was still available. It outperforms any head anywhere for my specific needs. I'd like to see one mase in aluminum.
