Great little flashlight, very useful as an emergency backup light in addition to a main light source I use it side mounted on my helmet, but *BEWARE* it does NOT like rechargeable batteries, use normal long life alkaline

Rechargeable use lower voltage (nominal 1.2v) and with flashlight on max setting I only get 40 minutes runtime before the light starts flashing. With ordinary long life alkaline batteries (nominal 1.5v) I can run it on max setting for 3hours 20 minutes before it starts flashing.

It is bright enough with fresh batteries and when you twist it a few times you can see the modes, low, medium and high. This is a fantastically designed little pen light and have bought 4 of them. The threads are anodized and cut for strenth. The clip is a little large and can get caught on things however it's also quick to use. The led on high is more than enough to work with and I usually put it down to medium. The color of the led is more neutral rather than a blue-white that washes out color, this is important because I can naturally differentiate wires and fluids if I need to. The twist mechanism contact point is much thicker than other brands have been, this is important as it won't readily wear out. This 2 AAA light is much easier to use on a day by day basis because of the size and weight compared to let's say a bigger and brighter light, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have one around for those rare instances that 85 lumens can't help you.
