Battery Replacement
Unscrew the light head and insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the light head back on.
Charging
- Turn off the tactical light and remove the tactical remote pressure switch, then connect the USB Type-C end of the charging cable to the light.
- The indicator will display red while charging and will turn green when fully charged.
- With the light turned off, the normal charging time of the Fenix ARB-L18-3400 is approximately 2 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 5 V/3 A charging adapter.
- Power specifications:
• Charging voltage: 5 V
• Maximum charging power: 12 W (5 V/2.4 A)
• This tactical light does not support fast charging.
• Only use a certified USB charging adapter that complies with the government safety standards of the country or region where this product is sold.
*Do not charge while using two CR123A batteries.
Battery level indication
Each time the tactical light is turned on, the indicator will indicate the battery level and will last for 3 seconds.
- Green light on: 100% - 85%
- Green light flashes: 85% - 50%
- Red light on: 50% - 25%
- Red light flashes (6Hz): 25% - 1%
*This only works with a Fenix ARB-L18 series battery.
Intelligent Overheat Protection
The tactical light will accumulate a lot of heat when used for extended periods. When the tactical light reaches a temperature of 60°C/140°F or above, the tactical light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C/140°F, the tactical light automatically recalls the preset output level.
Low-voltage Warning
When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the tactical light will gradually decrease output level accordingly. When the voltage level is still too low, the battery level indicator will blink rapidly to remind users to recharge or replace the battery in a timely manner.
*This only works with a Fenix ARB-L18 series battery.
Usage and Maintenance
- Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the tactical light and will void the warranty.
- Fenix recommends using an excellent quality battery.
- If the tactical light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the tactical light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.
- Clean the lens regularly to maintain the tactical light's performance.
- Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
- Since platform maintenance requires the use of organic solvents, organic solvents contaminating key internal components of the tactical light may cause malfunctions, and the tactical light will not receive normal warranty service.
- Periodic cleaning of the tactical light and battery contacts improves the tactical light's performance as dirty contacts may cause the tactical light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
A: Poor battery level.
Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.
B: The contact or contact point of the battery or tactical light is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
If the above methods don't work, please contact the distributor.
Warning
- Do NOT place this tactical light in the reach of children!
- Do NOT shine this tactical light directly into the eyes of anyone!
- Do NOT place light head near flammable objects, high temperatures can cause objects to overheat and become flammable/ignite!
- Do NOT use this tactical light in inappropriate ways such as holding the unit in your mouth, doing so could cause serious personal injury or death if the tactical light or internal battery fails!
- This tactical light will accumulate a significant amount of heat while operating, resulting in a high temperature of the light shell. Pay close attention to avoid burns!
- Remove the battery or loosen the light head to prevent accidental activation when the tactical light is placed in a closed and flammable environment such as pockets and backpacks!
- The LED of this tactical light is not replaceable; so the whole tactical light will need to be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its lifespan.
