Operating Instructions 

White light mode

Press and hold the neck-mounted switch for 0.5 seconds to turn on the White light, press and hold it again for 0.5 seconds to turn off the flashlight.
Single click the neck-mounted switch to cycle through Moonlight→Eco→Low→Med→High.
Single click the oval switch to select between Spotlight and Floodlight in White light mode.
In White light mode, press and hold the side green switch for 0.5 seconds to turn on the Green laser simultaneously.

Red light mode

Press and hold the side red switch for 0.5 seconds to turn on the Red light, press and hold it again for 0.5 seconds to turn off the flashlight.
Single click the side red switch to select between Red light (Low) and Red light (High).
In White light mode, press and hold the side red switch for 0.5 seconds to switch to the Red light. Press and hold it for 0.5 seconds again to turn off the flashlight.
In Green laser mode, press and hold the side red switch for 0.5 seconds to switch to the Red light. Press and hold it for 0.5 seconds again to turn off the flashlight.

Green laser mode

Press and hold the side green switch for 0.5 seconds to turn on the Green laser. Press and hold it for 0.5 seconds again to turn off the flashlight.

Scene mode

With the light turned off, double click the neck-mounted switch to turn on the mood light.
Single click the neck-mounted switch to cycle through White side light→RGB constant-on (color customizable*)→Red & blue flash→RGB flow→Digital dice**→Digital hourglass.
Press and hold the neck-mounted switch for 0.5 seconds to turn off the flashlight.
*In RGB constant-on output, press and hold the oval switch to select your preferred color.
**In Digital dice output, shake the flashlight twice to randomly light up 1 to 6 circular side lights.

Strobe mode

With the light turned off or in Instant Turbo mode, double click the tail switch to enter Strobe. Single click it again to turn off the flashlight.
In White light mode, double click the tail switch to enter Strobe. Single click it again to recall the previously used output of the White light mode.

Instant Turbo mode

With the light turned off or in Strobe mode, press the tail switch to instantly enter Instant Turbo. Release it within 3 seconds and the light will go out.
With the light turned off or in Strobe mode, press and hold the tail switch for 3 seconds to enter Instant Turbo and lock in this mode. Single click it again to turn off the flashlight.
In White light mode, press the tail switch to instantly enter Instant Turbo, release it within 3 seconds to recall the previously used output of the White light mode.
In White light mode, press and hold the tail switch for 3 seconds to enter Instant Turbo and lock in this mode. Single click it again to turn off the flashlight.

Lock/unlock

With the light turned off, press and hold the green switch and the red switch simultaneously for 2 seconds to lock the light, and the light will blink twice in Eco output to indicate locked status.
Press and hold the green switch and the red switch simultaneously for 2 seconds to unlock the light, and the light will activate in Moonlight output.

Intelligent memory circuit 

The flashlight memorizes the last selected output of the White light mode. When turned on again in White light mode, the previously used output will be recalled (excluding High outputs).

Charging

Turn off the flashlight and connect the USB Type-C end of the charging cable to the flashlight. 
The battery level indicator will display red while charging and will turn green when fully charged. 
Once charging is completed, be sure to unplug the charging cable.
While charging, if the voltage level is below 3.3 V, only the Moonlight outputs can be activated; if the voltage level is above 3.3 V, only the Moonlight to Med outputs can be activated. The Red light, Green laser, Strobe, and Instant Turbo modes cannot be activated while charging.
Charging voltage: 5 V
Maximum charging power: 5 W (5 V/1 A). The normal charging time is about 2.5 hours from depleted to fully charged. 

Note: Only use a certified USB charging adapter that complies with the government safety standards of the country or region where this product is sold.

Battery Level Indication 

With the light turned off, single click the neck-mounted switch to check the current battery level and the battery level indicator will last for 3 seconds.

• Green light on: saturated 100% - 85%
• Green light flashes: sufficient 85% - 50%
• Red light on: poor 50% - 25%
• Red light flashes: critical 25% - 1%

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the flashlight reaches a temperature of 60°C/140°F or above, it will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C/140°F, the flashlight will gradually recall the preset output level. High output levels can be reselected if needed.

Low-Voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Moonlight output is reached. When this happens in Moonlight output, the battery level indicator blinks red to remind users to recharge the flashlight in a timely manner. To ensure normal use, the flashlight will not turn off automatically and the battery level indicator will blink red till the battery runs out.

Usage and Maintenance

• Fully charge the flashlight in time to ensure normal function the next time it is needed.
• Recharge a stored flashlight every four months to maintain optimum performance of the battery.
• Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the flashlight and will void the warranty.
• Lock the flashlight to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.

• The LEDs of this flashlight are not replaceable; so the whole flashlight should be replaced when any one of the LEDs reaches the end of its lifespan.
• This flashlight is for professional use only. Not for use by untrained individuals or children.
• This flashlight complies with the EU photobiological safety standard EN 62471. Please use this flashlight according to the specified safety classification.

What is the product positioning of E08R UE? What are the key features?
A: The Fenix E08R UE is a multiple-light-source dual-control flashlight. Its key features include:

• 1600 lumens maximum output (spotlight/floodlight adjustable) and 160 meters maximum beam distance.
• Multiple light sources including white light (spotlight and floodlight), red light, and green laser.
• Scene mode provides six lighting effects for both emergencies and relaxation.

What kind of LEDs are used in E08R UE? Does Fenix offer to replace LEDs? 
A: Uses one Luminus SST20 LED and one Luminus SFT25 LED; with a lifespan of 50000 hours each.
Fenix does not provide LED replacement services for the time being, and users are not recommended to replace the LEDs independently, which may affect product performance and cause product damage.

What is the color temperature of E08R UE?
A: Spotlight: around 6500K. Floodlight: around 5500K.

What is the operating voltage and operating current of the E08R UE?
A: Operating voltage: 3.0-4.2V. Operating current: 10mA-5700mA.

Is E08R UE rechargeable? How long is the charging time?
A: Yes. The E08R UE is rechargeable via its USB Type-C charging port. The normal charging time is about 2.5 hours from depleted to fully charged. The ring light will display red while charging and will turn green when fully charged.

Why does the E08R UE downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?
A: There are two reasons: 

1. Intelligent Overheat Protection
   The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, it will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.
2. Low-voltage Warning
   When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest output is reached.

Why does the E08R UE happen to flicker?
A: The reasons that may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently, or even fail to illuminate:

1. Poor battery level.
   Solution: Recharge the battery.
2. The contact or contact point of the battery or flashlight is dirty. 
   Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
   If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.

Why does the E08R UE develop secondary light spots around the laser beam after being used for a while?
A: This is a normal optical phenomenon caused by the laser passing through multiple lens layers, which does not affect usage safety or core functions at all. The specific mechanisms are as follows:

1. Lens reflection effect: when the laser passes through the flashlight's dual-lens system (laser module lens + light head lens), a minimal portion of the light reflects, creating secondary light spots. These spots are significantly dimmer than the main light and become nearly invisible to the naked eye beyond 3 meters. This is a common phenomenon in all multi-lens optical devices and does not indicate a product defect.
2. Thermal deformation effect: after continuous use of the E08R UE, its internal temperature rises, causing micron-level thermal expansion in polymer lenses. This deformation temporarily alters the light path's refraction, making the secondary light spots shift positions or change intensity (dimming/brightening). This phenomenon usually disappears when the temperature returns to normal.
   This phenomenon does not affect the core functions of laser indication, and it remains fully compliant with Class 3R Laser Safety Standards.
   The E08R UE's laser is designed for daily portable guidance (e.g., PPT presentations, human-pet interaction), not for high-precision engineering applications (e.g., precise positioning, range finding). For precise positioning in extreme temperature environments (e.g., Arctic expeditions, high-temperature workshops), we recommend using professional-grade laser instruments.

What kind of battery can be used in E08R UE?
A: The E08R UE utilizes a built-in 1650mAh battery that is not replaceable.

What should I do when the E08R UE needs repair?
A:

1. 15-day replacement: Fenix will replace identical or equal products with documented manufacturing defects within 15 days of purchase.
2. 2-year free repair: Fenix will repair a light free of charge within 2 years of purchase if problems develop with normal use.
3. Lifetime limited warranty: If repair is required after 2 years from the date of purchase, Fenix will charge for parts. The total repair fee is dictated by the cost of the replaced materials.
