FAQs About Fenix E-SPARK Flashlight

Q1. How much power can E-SPARK charge for a mobile phone?

A: The built-in battery capacity of E-SPARK is 800mAh. With the 500mAh the mobile phone can theoretically support about 2 days of standby or 300 minutes of talk.

Therefore, Fenix recommends using E-SPARK as a portable keychain light and mobile phone emergency charger. In emergencies, it helps to enable the mobile phone with call answering, code scanning or location ensuring, etc.

Handy and slim.

The e-spark is very useful in a number of situations. When looking inside a cabinet, it provides better light to find what you are looking for. It is also useful when entering a dark room to get an item without having to turn on a ceiling or floor lamp. The slim design allows it is be carried in a jeans pocket without making a big lump.

Does Everything Needed, Quality Build

This device was purchased primarily to serve as a power bank to charge a running watch on the go if needed. It lives in a small running belt pack and is so small and weighs so little that it's virtually unnoticeable. Paired with a USB-C watch charging adapter it can recharge a Garmin Fenix from 0 to 100% in just about an hour and still have energy left over to power the light.

The case is quality anodized aluminum, and the singular button has a nice rubbery feel. The button glows solid green/flashing green/solid red/flashing red as the energy level in the battery is depleted so you've got an idea of when you'll need to charge.

The aluminum eyelet on the case, intended to attach the light to a key chain, is likely to break after prolonged use, but I wouldn't consider that a fault, more of a reality because that's just how things go. The plastic cap/light diffuser is the portion of the light which I'm suspect about lasting for a long time in a keychain; I'd expect it to get broken or lost in time. In my use case, with the light in a pack, I've got no concerns.

If asked for a suggestion to improve the light I'd recommend engineering it so the male USB-C port could be retracted into the case for protection, have a rubber cover to go over the USB-C ports which was affixed to the case, and either forgo the diffuser function of the cap or make it integral with the case such that it slides into place when needed. These suggested changes would not alter the functionality of the unit, but would increase its functional lifespan.

All told I can definitely recommend this little light/power bank. Nicely done, Fenix.

Nice Flashlight

I bought this as a Valentine's day gift for my wife. She keeps it on her key chain. The fact that one button controls the functions of the flashlight is a plus. There is plenty of runtime for short duration uses.

Great Light, and a tip for Apple users

I thought the review below from the iPhone user was harsh, because this is a really cool design by the Fenix engineers, and works really well. Carry a multi-adapter and get over it. This little light is bright enough and functional enough to be an EDC.
- It has a small hole for a lanyard or cord and can be positioned above as an overhead light,
- it's thin and flat and fits in a lot of EDC pouches perfectly, even if you have to have an adapter cord for iPhone.
- multiple light modes, including Red, which preserves your night vision.
NOTE for iPhone users: Power off your phone before charging, that's the only way this will charge your phone, and you will get well over 10% charge, its not super fast, but in a pinch this is a great option to carrying a bulky 5K or 10K mah charger.
