Press and hold the switch for 0.5s to turn the light on/off.

Output Selection

With the light switched on, single click the switch to cycle through Low→Med→High→Turbo.

With the light switched on, double click the switch to enter flash, single click to turn back to general mode.

Battery level Indication

With the light switched off, single click the switch to check the battery status. The battery level indicators will display the battery status for 3 seconds.

  • One light on: critical, 0% – 25%
  • Two lights on: poor, 26% – 50%
  • Three lights on: sufficient, 51% – 85%
  • Four lights on: saturated, 86% – 100%

One standard Micro USB charging cable, which can be used for charging other digital devices, is included.

With the light switched off, remove the dust cover of the bicycle light to reveal the charging port, and plug the Micro USB end of the USB cable into the light’s charging port, then connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB power adaptor.

Charging Indicator:

The indicators near the switch will display charging status. Four indicators will remain constant on when the battery is fully charged.

  1. Once charging is completed, be sure to remove the charging cable and replace the dust cover.
  2. The normal charging time of the built-in battery is 2.5 hours from fully depleted to fully charged with the light off.
  3. Recharge the light timely when the battery level is critical, for future use.
  4. Recharge a stored light every three months to maintain optimal battery performance.
  5. Only Low output can be used while the light is being charged, but charging time will be prolonged.

Intelligent Memory Circuit

The light memorizes the last selected brightness level on General mode. When turned on again the previously used brightness level will be recalled.

Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when working on Turbo mode. The light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature, but turbo mode can be reselected.

Low-voltage Warning

One of the indicators flashes when the battery level is critical. When the voltage level drops below a preset level, the bicycle light is programmed to step down to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. To ensure normal use, the bicycle light will work until the battery runs out.

Mounting Instruction

Bicycle Light and bicycle mount

  1. Unscrew the screw of the bike mount. Fix the bike mount in the desired position on the bike handlebar and fasten the screw.
  2. Loosen the fine adjustment screw of the handlebar mount before clamping the mount to the bar by securely tightening the set screw.
  3. Slide the light into the mount until a distinct “click” is heard.

  1. Adjust the direction of the light before testing the power and functions of the bicycle light.
  2. Use the shims provided according to the diameter of the bicycle’s handlebars:
    • Thick + thin shims together: diameter 22-28mm;
    • Thin only: diameter 28-32mm);
    • With no shim (whenever applicable): diameter 32-35mm.

Usage and Maintenance

  1. Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  2. The light will accumulate a lot of heat when working on Turbo mode. Do not touch the heat dissipation fins.
  3. For secure transportation, the bicycle light is not fully charged before delivery. Recharge it before first use.
  4. Store a fully charged light in a dry, ventilated place if it will not be used for a long time. Recharge a stored light before reuse.

This light is a high-intensity lighting device capable of causing eye damage to the user or others. Avoid shining the light directly into anyone’s eyes.

Second BC25R, Second Review

Well, my first BC25R finally gave up the ghost. Too many hard knocks. After two and a half years of everyday use, I wasn't too sad, since I had gotten a lot of good use out of it. I immediately ordered another one. Exactly the same as the first, but the black aluminum finish on the top is matte now, instead of satin. I liked the satin better.

I do have a BC26R, but don't like it. I much prefer the warmer color and shaped beam of the 25 to the 26, which is more blue and has no cutoff. I'd rather have two 25s than one 26. Also, as stated in my first review, the spring clip on the mount breaks easily, and there is not enough friction between the mount and the BC26R's aluminum body to keep it securely mounted without the clip (there is enough friction between the mount and the BC25R's polymer lower body).

works good

Bright, good beam pattern, the hot spot is a little too close to the front of your tire when you have the cut off set at head height. So i just have the cut off aimed above head height

BC25R light

Very nice quality mount. Easy to use.

This a great light!

Outstanding bike light. Easy to use and the battery lasts a long time. I love that it recharges relatively quickly. It’s extremely bright for trail riding and night riding. Only one concern but that does not change my rating, but be advised that this light can get very hot. Just a word of caution.

Amazing bike lights

These lights are worth every penny. Stable platform, solid construction. They are very bright and don’t bounce around like other lights. Rear brake light it fantastic.

Good bike riding light but can't hold its brightness

I like this light. It has a very nice high beam (600 lumens) and I really like the light's throw -- low and wide and very nice for street riding. The battery charge indicator is very nice too, and it fits snugly in its mount giving a nice stable beam.

The downside to this light is that it can't hold its 600 lumen high beam for more than a few minutes before drastically reducing the brightness. The light level at the reduced brightness is merely okay; it's sufficient but leaves me wanting a bit more brightness. I seem to get about 3-4 rides out of it between recharges, which is okay for a light at this price level.

Great cutoff line

This is a great light. I use on my bike or on an ATV without a working headlight and it is great! Throws a lot of light, but has a great cutoff line so as not to blind others.

This also makes a great flashlight for when you are in a large group of people. You can light up the ground a long ways away without shining in people's eyes!

Good light, I've been using it heavily for a year now, including several crashes. There is a small crack in the housing, but it still continues to work normally. I've never had an issue with it.
The mount, though....I actually really like it. Metal parts, not too difficult to move from bike to bike, very secure. However, the spring loaded retention clip did break pretty easily on me after only a few months (not from a crash). I never bothered to do anything about it, though, because there is enough friction in the dovetail to keep the light from sliding off without the clip, even while mountain biking.
5 stars for the light, 4 for the mount (it broke when it shouldn't have, but was designed so it still works after losing a component).
