  3. Once charging is completed, be sure to close the anti-dust cover to maintain the dustproof and waterproof ability.

Note:

  1. The normal charging time of the light is approximately 3 hours from depleted to fully charged.
  2. Recharge a stored light every four months to maintain optimum performance of the battery.
  3. The Low output or Med output can be operated while charging but the charging time will be prolonged.

* These features only works with a Fenix ARB-L18 series battery.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C/140°F or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C/140°F, the light automatically recalls the previously used output level.

Low Voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the light is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. When this happens in Low output, the battery level indicator blinks red to remind you to replace or recharge the battery.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Recharge the battery in time to ensure normal use for next time.
  • Recharge a stored light every four months to maintain optimum performance of the battery.
  • Fenix recommends using an excellent quality battery.
  • If the lamp will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the lamp could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.
  • Loosen the light body or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp's performance as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:

The best bike light out there

"A few months back I was recommended by a friend to by the HP35R Headlamp before a trip international wildlife trip in the rainforest. I was blown away by the quality of that headlamp and battery life. This spring I was looking for new bike lights and saw that Fenix also makes them. This headlamp is a huge upgrade from my 10+ year old Cygolite that was causing frustration. Definitely time to upgrade. The battery life is outstanding, LED notification on battery life is very helpful, and it’s a solid unit. Very happy with the upgrade. Replaceable battery is huge for longevity and not having to throw the unit away because of some proprietary battery like my Cygolite. The quality of Fenix is far better than any gimmicky bike light out there."

the light is pretty good.

"the light is pretty good. love the replaceable battery “feature”. nowadays there aren't many bike light makers make user replaceable generic 18650 battery light. But the mount is not very reassuring, it doesn’t have that definite click in snap. because of this, I lost a same bike light. Had to repurchase it."

Excellent light for my gravel

"Excellent light for my gravel bike. Made very well, seems like it will be very durable. It also uses common rechargeable 18650 batteries so it would be easy to carry extras if you were on a long touring or bike-packing trip. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it seems like it could have a bit smaller form factor towards the back and that would help with different angles of attachment on the install. But all in all, I'm really happy with this light and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone!"

Super Versatile And Bright

"For it's size and convenience, this is a fantastic little light. My key benefit is the removable 18650 battery which you can swap out on the fly with a fully charged backup. The mount is great! It's flexible enough to allow you to leave it with a little slack to readjust on the fly. yet creates a super snug fit when you need it immobile. It's probably best to approach this light as a 600 lumen light which allows bursts of 1400 lumen for 10-15 minutes when you need it. It will throttle down when it gets too hot (and it can get hot at the business end). That said, its 600 lumens "feels" brighter than indicated. It's our experience with our two lights that we haven't seen any throttling down at the "high" setting even after an hour of riding. . . only on Turbo. Great little light!"

Ready to Purchase bey not with an outdated battery

"All the latest updates and no option for a 21700 battery? Sounds like the Marketing Department is calling the shots to segregate price points and limit cannibalizing sales from the BC26R. As more companies switch to replaceable batteries on their latest premium bike lights, it only makes sense to go with the newer, higher capacity 21700 batteries."

10 agonizing months later… here is the dreaded rev

"I would like to start this with stating that Fenix is one of my all-time favorite flashlight and tactical brands. I have owned a mini of their products from some of the smallest to the largest and they have always done me well year after year. When I was getting into. PEV’s motorsport (personal electric vehicle) I picked out a really nice electric scooter and knew I would want something like a Fenix light to lead the way at night. Well, I did a lot of research, but I was such a fool to believe anything. They stated about this light. My parents bought it for me for Christmas, actually two of them and now we have 4 batteries, ones been replaced, and they sit there because no one wants to use them. Absolute garbage honestly and confuses and hurts my heart to say that given my track record with Fenix. However, these lights will not run anywhere near how long they claim they will, they will get so hot that the thermal throttling dims them down to basically a cell phone‘s light after a little bit of time. I tried buying more batteries of the identical, kind, more batteries, but with more MaH— I’ve emailed Fenix back-and-forth I’ve called. I’ve had the lights replaced entirely and they are absolute junk. These days we are extremely big into electric scooters, electric unicycles ECT and I keep those Fenix in their original packaging in our Scooter office/garage just as a reminder of how terrible they were. I don’t know if it was a rust product or if the Fenix Bike lighting department just let this one go because I have found seriously, $25 bike lights on Amazon that look awful that can outperform these any day of the week as far as one heat two battery life three brightness after 10 minutes and I have been waiting to write this review but seriously I have went to my parents and genuinely apologized on them wasting almost $200 on some high-end bike lights for my first electric scooter that ended up being the absolute worst in every possible way. The new batteries didn’t work, the replacements didn’t work, the bigger batteries didn’t work, multiple batteries didn’t work, they are terrible and I feel so ashamed my family spent that much money on something which such high expectations. Unfortunately, after all of this back-and-forth and trials and tests and all of it I haven’t bought a Fenix since… I would love if somebody could reach out to me. My email is included so we can discuss this. Whether you guys make it right as a company and offer to do a variety of things that would change our view or just decide to read this review and maybe reply to it once just know that you were my biggest fan, I’ve spent over $1000 with the company since first discovery, but I honestly don’t think I’ll be getting any type of Fenix light anytime soon or maybe ever again. I was really counting on you :/ -this is my 10 month long-term review- -Brock I"
