Single-click the function switch to cycle the light through Red High→Red Low→Green High→Green Low, press and hold the function switch for 0.8 seconds again to return to the memorized white light mode.

Note: The light automatically memorizes the previously used brightness level of White Light mode, when it is turned on again.

Intelligent Over-heat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when it is working at High output. When the light is overheated internally up to 65 ℃ or above, the flashlight will automatically adjust the output to prevent the light from overheating.

Low-voltage Warning Function

If low voltage is detected, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low brightness level is reached. When this happens at Low output mode, the flashlight blinks three times every five minutes to remind you to replace the battery. To ensure normal use, the flashlight will not turn off automatically and will work until the battery runs out completely.

Battery Replacement

Unscrew the tail cap to insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, and then screw the tail cap.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using excellent quality batteries. If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
  • Unscrew the tail cap one-half turn or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp’s performance as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:

Reason A: The batteries need replacing.
Solution: Replace batteries (Please confirm the correct installation of anode and cathode).

Reason B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don’t work, please refer to the warranty policy before contacting your authorized distributor.

Warning

The flashlight is a high-intensity lighting device capable of causing eye damage to the user or others. Avoid shining the flashlight directly into anyone’s eyes.

Used a couple of times then started having problems. Starts diming by itself . Had another model in the past and it did the same thing.

Hi Lane – is it only dimming on High mode, or all modes? The light will accumulate a lot of heat when it is working at High output. When the light is overheated internally up to 65 ℃ or above, the flashlight will automatically adjust the output to prevent the light from overheating. If it seems to be dimming on all modes, send an email to warranty@fenixlighting.com and they can help you figure out what’s going on.

Excellent light for night time predator hunting. Under 300 yards this is all the light you need for shooting critters. I love the lights compact size and power for a great all around weapons light.

Carried for several says. Seems to work well. Beam distance is probably fairly close if you’re in a very dark area.

I was surprised at how far the red and green actually projected.

I hadn’t had a light with dual tail switches before, but now am coming to prefer it after carrying this light for several days.

Very easy to switch between colors and modes. Only negatives are there is no direct access to green or low mode from off.

Another great flashlight by Fenix! I like all the features it has and the brightness of the green. To me the red is bright but I find myself looking for a little bit more brightness. Love the choices of the white lights. I find myself looking for a blue option to follow blood trails. I am an avid outdoorsman, Hunter, and camper. I will be using this light a lot out in the field.

Great light! really like the red and green feature – I used it to fine animals not shoot them. I’m hooked on Fenix flashlights now.

I’ve had this mounted on my RRA patrol rifle for the last year. I wanted something with a long throw so I could light up a target from a few houses down (point of using a rifle over a hand gun—create distance). If you don’t mind the large bezel, it’s the perfect light on a rifle. Light up your target from a distance, shoot from a distance. Very good weapon light.
