The Fenix PD22UE (Ultimate Edition) Flashlight is a limited production product that was created with the EDC (everyday carry) consumer in mind.  This tiny flashlight is the first product we utilized the innovative Cree XP-L LED. The flashlight produces a max 400 lumen output on the common CR123A battery (510 lumens on 16340 rechargeable Li-ion battery) and can produce an amazing 427ft beam distance on max setting. The tail cap switch provides momentary-on function while the side switch on the head helps you decide between it’s 4 brightness levels and 2 strobes (SOS, variable strobe).

FLASHLIGHT OPERATION

ON/OFF
Press the tail switch gently for momentary lighting or until it clicks to activate and lock the PD22UE. Press again to turn the light off.

Mode Selecting
With the light on, press the side switch to cycle through four different brightness levels from Turbo → Low → Medium → High.

Strobe Mode
Press the side switch and hold it for 1 second to enter into Strobe mode.

SOS Mode
Press the side switch and hold it for 3 seconds to enter into SOS mode.

When the flashlight is in strobe mode or SOS mode, a single press on the side switch will return the light to general lighting mode.

Intelligent Memory Circuit
The Fenix PD22UE memorizes the last brightness level used in the general mode, but it will not remember the strobe mode or SOS mode. The next time you turn the flashlight on, it will activate the last brightness level you selected.

Over-heat protection
PD22UE will accumulate a lot of heat when it is working in Turbo output. To avoid overheating, the flashlight will automatically transfer into the high brightness level by working in Turbo output for over 5 minutes. If the Turbo output is needed continually, just reset it again.

This is my 4th or 5th Fenix flashlight. They are all awesome and well work the price. I’m done with SureFire and Streamlight. Fenix has more choices, they burn brighter, more innovative, and last just as long (i.e., “forever”).
This one (PD22UE) is my EDC and I use it all the time. Great size and the CR123 batteries aren’t that hard to find. If you’re worried about that, just mail-order a dozen and keep 11 in the freezer / 1 with your flashlight. The shelf life is very long.
Great lights – great company. You can’t go wrong

The very best Fenix for an EDC! Personally, this is a big as I’ll go for a light that is going to live in my pocket day to day, and really is the perfect size. It has all the features one could possibly want. Things I would change: Red led mode would be nice, but that is asking a bit too much. Being able to switch from turbo to strobe through the tail cap would be a big plus for defence. Everything else is as it should be.

It’s about the size of a lighter.
I have a lot of different flashlights and Fenix flashlight are top notch!

My pd35 I have had for around a year, is holding up great and I beat the hell out of it, I do crawl space work and it lights up those dark places great! I highly suggest buying anyone of the Fenix flashlights you will love them.

Very high powered. Many reviews on here about battery’s not lasting long, it’s simple though you have a high powered light it will consume more power.

This will be my go to flashlight for tactical use.

I love this light. It fits in your pocket well for EDC and I also like the different light levels that you can choose. I highly recommend it.

Cant wait until my PD35 Tac purchase …

    Shop smart shop Fenix!

    -Cheers

I carry this light in my pocket every single day and have done so for the last year. It it the smallest light I could find that puts out over 500 lumens and it was the best choice by far. I LOVE THIS EDC FLASHLIGHT!!! …so much so, i’m buying 2 more, one for a gift and one as a backup. I currently also carry a Thrunite TN 12 cool white with 1050 lumens for my high powered needs but will consider switching to the pd35 after comparison testing. I do a lot of gear testing for a lot of companies in real world applications and look forward to finding better products for better values for my readers and viewers. Thanks Fenix for developing such a great light in such a small package!

This is one of the most amazing little lights you could ever buy. Between this and my PD35, I don’t know which one to carry. I have had this one for a year now and beat the snot out of it on a daily basis. I liked it so much that I bought a second for a backup. This light is the unicorn you have been searching for.
