The Fenix TK47 Tactical Duty Flashlight, with its long range illumination, is designed with the security and law-enforcement professional in mind. Fitted with a Cree XHP35 HI neutral white LED and deep reflective cup, resulting in a beam of almost 2,300 feet (700m). The TK47 Tactical Duty flashlight also includes a multi-funtional tail light that features a red light for signaling and a soft lantern light for duties such as report writing. This independently controlled tail light has four modes including a low-lumen white or red light for reading and a red Flash/SOS. The neutral white LED provides better color rendering allowing for quicker identification of objects. We believe you’ll find this light to be perfect for security and law-enforcement professionals’ daily activities. NOTE: The light will not work with flat-top 18650s.  We recommend any of the ARB-L18 series from Fenix.

I inspect homes and I bought this for that specific purpose. Can’t speak to other purposes/professions, but, for inspections, it’s great! The throw is amazing on it. The beam is extremely pronounced and the flood is nice and constant and clearly demarcated in a circle pattern. The tight spot beam helps get hard-to-reach places in an attic. The more impressive aspect of this light in relation to inspection is its versatility in handling. It allowed several different grips that really make holding it and getting photos easy. The holster is more substantial than with Fenix’s smaller lights—to be expected. I also love the fact that the user can either loop it through a belt or use the Velcro step and quickstrap it to a belt without taking the belt off. Attics get pretty hot in the summer, but on 100 and 400 lumens, I haven’t had any problems at all with hot metal parts/places on the body.

This flashlight more than lives up to its name. It has become my edc regardless of the size being a little big for edc.

This light performs very well with a healthy runtime. The main beam is centrally focused and will light up several hundred yards.
