Usage and Maintenance
- Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the headlamp and will void the warranty.
- Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
- Unscrew the tail cap one-half turn or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
- Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the headlamp’s performance as dirty contacts may cause the headlamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
Reason A: The batteries need replacing.
Solution: Replace batteries (Please confirm the correct installation of anode and cathode).
Reason B: The threads, PCB boards contact or other contacts are dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
If the above methods don’t work, please refer to the warranty policy before contacting your authorized distributor.

Quick shipping. One of the best small headlights for a very reasonable price. Not sure why they stopped making them. I’ve given 4-5 out as Christmas gifts over the years.

Great light. Bought it for my son and we use it for camping and scooter rides at night. I may get one for myself.

On my bicycle tours I keep a headlight in my handle bar bag to have a light when I arrive in the dark. To keep the bag weight low I bought the HL10 and I have been very happy. For use in and around the tent you want a smooth wide beam and a low intensity setting, and that is precisely what this light offers. I was concerned about battery life, but one high quality rechargeable AAA easily lasted three weeks camping in Italy. But don’t expect to use it for mountain running at night, or for reading in your tent every evening.
I also use it around the house for little repairs where I need a decent light that is not too bright.
