In my opinion, there are two negatives to this flashlight.
    1) No zoom function – luckily the light spreads well enough for it to not be too much of a factor
    2) The buttons are not very pronounced, so they are hard to find in the dark.

Love this flashlight! It performs excellently and fits nicely in my hand or pocket. Unlike other flashlights, Fenix’s lumen rating is the most accurate… they really are the brightest lights! Competitor’s lumen ratings seem to be based on total lumens dispersed throughout the area of the lens, while Fenix rating describes the brightest output at the center of the beam!

This is te most powerful light that will fit in your pocket. The brightness level provided and the beam quality make this the most flexible flashlight available for general purpose and every day use. I am a former technical editor for engineering and computer magazines with thousands of formal product reviews in my portfolio, so believe me when I say very objectively that the Fenix E35UE is a “Product of the Year” worthy offering. It has functionality and power that will fulfill almost any foreseeable need. I use it with a Fenix 3500mAh USB Rechargeable battery and only top it off once a week in daily use (your results may vary). My only criticism of this light is a very poor operator interface/ergonomics. You will not be able to use this light in an instant; it will take 1-3 seconds to get it into use due to a cumbersome switch design. Let me explain. The two function switches share a single patch of flexible plastic over divided into a poorly indicated set of touch points. Each has about a one half second delay to turn ON or OFF, when the light is unlocked (more on that in a bit). It is all but impossible to locate the switch quickly by touch, so getting light quickly in a pitch dark environment is unlikely. However, if there is just enough ambient light to see the gray switch against the light’s black body, you’ll have no problem. How often are you in a truly pitch black environment? My Fenix E12 is a much better and faster in such an unusual case (I know because I carried the E12 and the earlier E11 all-day-every-day for years, they were faithful and constant companions to my 40 year old Swiss Army Knife – best personal tools ever IMHO). The other U35UE switch “feature” that I would like to see Fenix correct (in a ?simple? programing change) is the switch LOCK/UNLOCK delay, three seconds is just too much! Reset it for two seconds and make me a much happier user! You can look for and pay a lot more for other lights that will not deliver as much value as the Fenix E35UE.

It packs a lot of light in a small package! Easily fits in my pocket. My only issue is that the 2 buttons are too close together/or too small for a man with larger hands to easily use with the thumb.

I bought this flashlight for camping and it worked for one month. I replaced the batteries twice but the flashlight didn’t stay bright. The lowest beam wasn’t bright enough to walk the trails at night. When it was working it was the brightest light and the beam went a long distance.

I’m using the older model with only 4 light modes, but it is the best flashlight I’ve used so far (and there has been plenty, from Maglite to LED Lenser to cheap halogen ones). It has one of the best light outputs and lighting “pictures”, making use of the power of the Li-ION batteries of them all. I’m using it with CR123’s but planning an upgrade to 18650’s. If I had to make one small suggestion though, please consider designing a pocket clip for it! Hands down the Fenix bestseller!

I bought this for myself and bought my wife the UC30. Both amazing lights. I have spare batteries and a charger as well. You really have to be careful to not direct this at someones face at turbo because you could do some damage. This is a good light to use as defense as well as taking the dog for a walk, working or whatever you bought it for. It’s a compact light that’s 10 times brighter than those old 5 D cell Mag lights. These lights made all my others useless so I gave most of them away to my kids. These are pricey but when you see it and use it you realize you have gotten your moneys worth. I wish I had known about these lights before I bought a bunch of others so I didn’t waste that money.

I had the Fenix E 35 originally that I used everyday for work. It was a great light then after 3 1/2 years I dropped it and it stopped working . I contacted Fenix and they had me ship the broken light back to them as they informed me that they discontinued that model. The represtative informed me that they would ship a new light to replace the broken E 35 . They sent me the E 35 UE at no charge this light is even better than the original. Not only is Fenix the best light out there they also stand behind their products

Out of the half dozen Fenix lights that I own, this one is hands down the best out of them all for my general applications. Whether I am out in the field working or back at the office this light gives me everything I need from amazing run times to its great reliability. The E35UE is one of Fenix’s best offerings.

I purchased the E35 to replace my old Energizer headlamp out hunting. I wasn’t able to follow a blood trail to well with my old one. I took the E35 out to help my dad blood trail a deer and this little light was amazing! I also have a TK21 and the E35 throws a beam almost as far which I couldn’t believe. My only complaint is that Is that I’d like to see a tailcap button on this one. Even though you have to hold the button down to turn on, it still got turned on somehow in my pack. The side button is almost impossible to find and turn on with lightweight gloves on. This is an excellent light overall. I’m very happy with both of my Fenix lights.

As a Law Enforcement Officer I was looking for a flashlight that was compact, well made and produce enough light to be able to see in dark places while on patrol. I must say the Fenix E35 fit the bill, this flashlight produce a powerful beam of light that gives you plenty of visibilty from a good distance. The construction is solid and feels comfortable in your hands and takes very little room on your gun/utiity belt when using together with the Fenix AB02 Flashlight belt Holder. I highly recommend purchasing Fenix Product, they stand behind the name and guarantee there product, believe me you won’t be dissapointed.
