Review of the Fenix HM61R Multi-use Headlamp

I think this headlamp is extremely impressive, as it has so many potential uses. The light, when removed from the headband, is a right angled flashlight that has a pocket clip. It also includes a strong magnet in its base.

The light’s LED projects a white colored beam. It predominantly has a floodlight pattern with a very respectful reach.

The different white illumination levels of the light also make it very flexible. I found each of the different levels to be very usable for the various uses one typically encounters. I never felt the light was wanting for more light, at its various light levels.

The HM61R also includes three different red illuminations. It has a one lumen setting and a five lumen setting. The five lumen red setting can also flash.

When the HM61R is used as a headlight, it is comfortable to wear. It not too big or heavy. You can change the direction the light snaps into its base, which makes it more user friendly if you’re left-handed.

If you want a great performing headlamp and a great performing flashlight, in one package, that uses a rechargeable 18650 battery or two CR123A batteries, at a reasonable price, this is the one to get!
