Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.

  • Removing the battery or electrolyte leakage could damage the lamp if the light is not used for an extended period.

  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. Replace the ring with an approved spare to maintain a proper water seal.

My go to everday pocket flashlite the Fenix E12

This is my fourth time to buy the Fenix E12 Flashlight. I keep misplacing them and yes I now own 3 of them (my wife has the fourth) because eventually I find the previous one's I think I lost. I carry this flashlight with me all the time. I literally use it everyday. I like it because it is small. I don't need to recharge it because I can use regular cells or a rechargeable cell. The normal "on" low power output works for me most of the time and I can go to full power with a couple of taps if I need it. The attached spring clip works on my shirt or my hat.

I am aware other buyers have had complaints. Not on my watch! I have no complaints, that is why I keep buying them. And! I tell my friends, too. As you can see in the photo I have a new one still in the blister wrap because I found the previous one. The one on the left is the first one I bought many years ago. Maybe I should buy a couple more just in case...

Mixed Feelings

Bought and ended up returning. I was excited about an update to one of my most carried EDC lights. I liked the E12 V2.0 and liked that this one was a bit more focused, which gives the impression that it's brighter. I also liked the metal button. Unfortunately, in typical, frustrating Fenix fashion, the LED they used is very green and offputting. The E12 V2.0 was great, and the E20 is nice and fairly neutral, but this one was just a bit too green, and for the price, you can get some amazing lights now from companies like Convoy and the Lumintop Tool AA. It seems like lately Fenix has stopped trying, and really needs to step it up if they want to stay competitive with the rest of the market that has quickly caught up.

Excellent package!

Great light, love the small size. The magnet on the back is really a plus to position the light, or to store it somewhere for emergencies. The clip works great for pocket carry or on your ball cap for hands free use. I keep one in the house and one in the car.

Low Second Level

I was hoping for a brighter second level. First level has short battery life.
