A light unto my path as I do pre-dawn runs, the HP-12 illuminates road hazards on the low settings without interfering with my night vision. Then, when I hear a noise or catch the glow of critters' eyes in my path, I can click to a higher setting to see what's ahead of me. I also use the HP-12 for home improvement and inspection projects when I need my work area illuminated. A great all-around headlamp!

I bought this light for cave exploring, the light output is out of this world and it out performs expensive lights. While my friends are constantly changing batteries, I can go on a 6 to 8 hour trip on one battery. I would recommend this light to anyone that wants a high quality light at a good price... I also use it on my job as a home maintenance and repair tech, great for when you have to crawl under a house or in a dark room or attic.

I've had this headlamp for almost a year and I LOVE it. I recommend it to everyone. I use this light for Trail Running. Yes, I run trails in the dark with it and it is perfect. I've tried many lights and none of them compare to this one, especially for the price. It stays stable on my head and doesn't move around. Its one of the brightest headlamps you can buy at 400 lumens and the single battery is so simple and light. The battery easily has paid for itself compared to the 4 AA's my old headlamp used that I had to change out every 3rd night run or so for fear it was going to run out. This light is one of the best on the market if you need one that is super bright but also designed for high activity.

I have had several headlamps over the years. It is crucial to my job working in attics and behind electronics racks. The light stays on much of my work day almost every day. I started with the cheap little Home Depot aaa models, the batteries last ok but the output barely is brighter than ambient light. I moved on to a better brand multi aaa led headlamp rated at about 3-400 lumens. Not a bad product but it ran through aaa batteries like water and dropped to 1-200 lumens very quickly as voltage dropped from the AAAs. Not all companies take care to use a proper regulator to maintain output and current draw properly. Now I have the Fenix HP12. The 18650 battery will pay for itself in charges vs tossing aaa within about half a year in my use. The light is as bright as you can tolerate or adjustable to right where you need it. It's a medium tight spot with a good amount of light flooding around the spot as well. Plenty wide for very up close work. I can work in a pitch black attic with the hp12 on full blast and it's like the attic is fully normally lit. The runtime with one 18650 is very good. Even compared to some other similar handheld 18650 similar lights I have. I have had it 1.5 years and use it every single day without fail.

Bought this light so I can retire my trusty HP10 for home use. This light is great, the 18650 battery lasts very long, recharge about onec a week, it's much lighter than the HP10 which was one of my main hopes. Very bright although I generally run it on medium. Work on Diesel engines for a living 2nd shift use this light every day sometimes almost the whole shift and would be lost without it, a great upgrade from the Hp10 while still being made rugged for heavy duty work. Will put led lenser or streamlight products to shame. Uses same batt as PD35 tac so this makes a great combination. You won't be disappointed.
