Warning: Do not mix batteries of different brands, sizes, capacities or types. Doing so may cause damage to the flashlight or the batteries being used. * 18650 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only use quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion; but cell damage or short circuiting are potential risks the user assumes.

  • Red light flashes: critical 25% - 1%

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L18 series 18650 battery.

Intelligent Overheat Protection
The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used at relatively high modes for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C, it will then allow the user to reselect the modes.

Low-voltage Warning
When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output, the battery level indicator constantly blinks red to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L18 series 18650 battery.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using only a high-quality protected battery.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery for proper storage.
  • Unscrew the tail cap or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the light's performance as dirty contacts may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: Poor battery level.
Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.
B: The contact or contact point of the battery or flashlight is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
C: The battery protection board is in a protective state and unable to be released.
Solution: Take out the battery and reload them.
D: A single 18650 battery fails to activate Turbo mode.
Solution: Take out and reload the battery, replace a new battery or use two batteries.

No batteries included

Might be good, but it doesn’t come with the rechargeable batteries. Would be good to indicate that clearly.

Hi Patrick - thank you for the review. That product page used to have it clearly called out, with an option to add batteries very obviously stated, and to be perfectly honest, we don't know why that 'add battery' link is no longer on the page. I don't know if some software glitch happened or what it was, but we had no idea it was no longer showing until I read your review. We are working on getting that page fixed now.

Perfect for night walks

Recently got this TK35UE v 2 for my walks in the evening. Love the multiple brightness levels and the battery lasts for more than my 45 minute walk, even on "high", which I rarely use. Controls are simple and easy to understand, even though the light sometimes goes into strobe mode when switching from locked to normal mode (not tactical). I like the fact that the batteries are removable and charged outboard because I can use the light continuously by swapping a spare set of batteries and not tie up the light with battery charging. Super bright beam lights up the darkest streets. The charge state indicator is usefull, but the charge state indicator on the outboard charger is more accurate. All in all a quality product well worth the money.

Great Overall Light for any use

Love the brightness of this light and throw distance. It also has a great wide throw that lights up a large area. The run times on high modes are some of the best of any lights out their and this is the reason we use them. We also like the easy mode switch on this model and the handle is nice as well.

Had to come back here and comment on outstanding customer service and support Fenix provides (they helped me get proper batteries for this flashlight). Not only do I get high quality durable and RELIABLE flashlights here, Fenix support is also top notch.
