I own a half dozen Fenix lights. They are all pretty good. However, this light is horrible. First, the switch is awful. If it is dark, and if you have a flashlight, chances are it will be dark, you will need a flashlight to find the switch. It's hard to find with your bare hands and nearly impossible with gloves on. Very poor switch design. Keep the switch in the tail cap or at least provide a switch that can be felt easily. Second, it rattles. Without much effort ;you can rattle it and it is very audible. The rattle, coupled with the noise from the rattle, makes it very annoying. If you are considering a light, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

I have this flashlight and it is quality for $50 just get it but make sure to get the 14500 rechargeable lithium ion batteries or it just wont work as good with regular batteries it will only go up to the 4th strength and not the 5th that is 1000 lumen.
Very good light the glass in front of the LED is very scratch resistant i have used it for over 1 year on hard surfaces and drooped it as well never broke nothing its a solid product. If you want something under 100 and that can easily fit in your pocket this is the way to go.
ONE THING TO KEEP IN MIND IS THAT YOU WILL NEED TO GET A CHARGER FOR THE 14500 BATTERIES AND THE BATTERIES THEMSELVES ARE NOT CHEAP MAYBE AROUND $8 TO $10 $ EACH. and the charger could be around 19.99 on a site that is used by the world.

BUT SERIOUSLY I HAVE NOTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT IT. SOMETIMES I WISH THE LIGHT PUTTING WAS ON THE VERY BUTTON OF THE FLASHLIGHT INSTEAD OF THESE GRAY BUTTONS TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE LENS.

I have been a loyal Fenix customer from the very beginning and if Fenix wants to protect its reputation with tech reliant adventurers I recommend a recall of this device as well as offering some replacement options to appease and literally keep their loyal customer base happy, healthy and keep them out of danger!
I often live and work in or near conflict zones where power is a luxury and available less than 20% of the time. So this makes me utterly dependent on a flawless lamp that must have amazing features. For me the power source must be easily obtainable anywhere in the world and the power output vs. consumption must be phenomenal. I have used two versions of the LD22 in the field for years and I never needed more than four high-end NiMh AA's to get me through any one six week deployment, yeah, the LD22 is an impeccable workhorse that never failed me once!!!
When I got this new E25EU I put two new high end alkaline AA's in it and it switched below the 350 lumen output level in less than five minutes. As I have owned and been reliant on five different models of Fenix lamps over the past seven years without a single flaw I felt I should give this lamp a chance.

Since Fenix has served me so well over the years, as well as saving me a lot of $$ as from 2009 to 2015 a comparable product with similar specs literally cost 60% to 90% more than the Fenix lamps I bought at the time. I decided to get some of the 14500 NiMH rechargeables and even though I spent $25 on high quality 14500 NiMH's they were unable to run the E25EU above the 350 lumen output level, so I don't even know if it is even capable of 1000 lumens.

The other big problem is the lack of the rear push button control switch, it is difficult to operate this lamp with warm hands and available light with gloves or cold hands you would be in big trouble with this lamp. For a loyal Fenix customer taking this into the field it could be a huge liability and a literal threat to their security!

I am sending it back and I'll simply replace it with another LD22 but I was also tricked by the seller on Amazon who made it look like they were sending both sets of batteries when they only sent 4 very cheap AA's. So the $30 I spent on the 14500's and charger I am now stuck with..

I have two of the E25UE and love this light it is a very good size and very powerful I use it every day. The only negative thing for me is the rubber front button I have a lot of lights and most are Fenix and i like the round hard button better on the tac model wish Fenix would make this light with that button and no strobe
