I love this light. I live in the Pacific Northwest and cycle to work. A good headlight on my bicycle is a must. Being able to swap batteries easily is wonderful and means I won’t be fumbling my way home in the dark after work if I forget to charge up.

Brightness is excellent. I use this mounted on the front of my aero bar loop and it works great. Distance and spread of light is very good. I also use the blinking feature during the day. Battery life has been very good. I got more than the rated life on high using 2600mah batteries. Also going to try the 3500. Very happy.

I’ve had this light going on four years now. It performs exactly as advertised. Same two batteries. Very happy with it. Yes, there is a problem with the battery holder ring. I’m just very careful with it. Fenix should make a effort to improve the problem.
I road bike the Houston bayous at night. We “spin” at about 17 – 20 mph. At 500 lumins, I have a friend who rides behind me, without a light. Gives me confidence that I can go “full gas” in a training session at night. My ride is 43 miles. Always have about 44% charge left.

Just an amazing light for the money. Disclaimer: I got this light in September of 2015 with a 30% off deal. It’s performance has been nothing other than flawless for almost 4 years now. I’m using Samsung 25R cells and they give me over an hour on Turbo mode while using the hyper speed switch frequently. Carry an extra pair or 2 of cells and you’re good. The twin beam design is ideal; a spot and a wide beam. You really couldn’t ask for more when it comes to a fixed setup for pavement riding. Combine this and a good helmet mount light and you have a durable and reasonably priced setup for night single track rides.
