TK11 TAC is One Impressive Light!

Ambassador Trey K.

So, I’ve had this TK11 TAC for a couple months now and used it around the house and at work but had not really done anything extreme with it. That changed a week ago and talk about impressed! Let me say a little about the light before I talk about the abuse I put it through. I really like the rotary switch that changes modes to the tactical mode where it’s either high power or off and then switch to the setting where you can cycle through the levels. The size of this light is a good fit for the hand but does not feel too small or fragile. The tail switch takes a little getting used to but is really nice once you adjust to it. It’s become my go to light around the house and at work because of the tactical mode.

On to the abusing it part….
I recently went down to South Texas to help some friends with some repairs to their bunk house at their deer lease. There was a lot of mud and water involved since some rodents chewed through the pex lines. I ran the light non-stop on different levels for about 2 hours or so and still have plenty of battery power left. I did drop it several times in the water and mud and we were tossing it back and forth under the house so that others could use it without having to crawl to a different spot to pass it off. It never missed a beat and didn’t even flicker with the several impacts. One of the great parts was that the rotary switch never showed any signs getting grit in it and feeling like it had dirt trapped when using it. To me this is a great testament to how well Fenix designs their lights. Thank you Fenix for building equipment like this that make tasks and jobs easier!
