Review of the Fenix E35 V3.0 Flashlight

Ambassador John E.

At first glance the E35 V3.0 flashlight might seem like an unexciting one. However, it is small in size for EDC and has very impressive output. The flashlight comes with a rechargeable 21700 battery, that includes a USB type-C port, and it has very good run times. It does NOT have a tail switch and I think that is fine. For camping and some other activities, I prefer the switch on the side. I place the clip so that I can locate the switch easily. For safety, rather than use the lock-out feature, I simply rotate the the head of the light a half turn (I think it is faster, anyhow).
The light can stand on its tail end on a flat surface.

As I stated before, the unit has very impressive light output. What makes this even better is the beam pattern that’s employed. The beam is very balanced. I would not call it soft per se, as it is very slightly more intense in the center. My perception is that the light is cooler (more white) in color, rather than warm.

When I first handled the E35 V3.0, the thing that came to my mind was, this would be the perfect flashlight to carry in your pocket when camping!
