Placed the order for this light during the Christmas rush and much to my surprise it still arrived to me in Ohio in I believe 3 days!

As always when I get home I unpack the box and quickly get the light plugged in and charging. When doing so I noticed that the unit didn’t feel heavy and wasn’t very big considering that it basically houses 2 lights.

Nightfall came and I got to use it and wore it outside for a bit. The headband is very light but strong and comfortable. I personally like the added top band for stability.

I tried out the lights individually and then by themselves. WOW. I have to say I have had a few different headlamps and have given them all away but one but this one is nicest of all that I have had. I really like the control for each light. If you want to use the flood you can do so or if you want a beam you don’t need to use the flood. The flood definitely floods and lights up a room. The beam and the combo of both of them are about like wearing a PD36 on your head if you could do so!

The control buttons are nice and large and the ability to hit one or the other of your choosing is nice. You won’t accidentally hit the one you don’t want.

I’m also a fan of the flashlights and now headlamps that use the larger Fenix battery because that equates to more power and less time spent on a charger. The exception to this is that darn little PD25. I love that light! lol

In short I think Fenix outdid themselves again with this headlamp. You are getting 2 lights for the price of 1! 2 very useful lights individually and together if you choose. Comfortable, lightweight, long lasting battery, BRIGHT if you want it, dependable, and easy to use.

The attached photo is of both lights in their brightest setting. Photo was taken in my usual spot, from my back deck. As usual I have to say that this photo doesn’t do this item much justice. I can say this though, my friend stopped by and checked it out and was pretty impressed. He started laughing at how bright it was.

Grab one! (and a PD25!!)
